Very Close Lightning Strikes and Loud Thunder - Positive Lightning Barrage in northern IL - 9/7/21

Video of close range positive lightning strikes as well as very loud thunder and some gusty winds in southeastern Wisconsin & northeastern Illinois on 9/7/21.
Intense severe storms moved through eastern Wisconsin and northern Illinois during the morning/early afternoon hours of September 7th, producing vivid positively charged cloud-to-ground lightning barrages, very large hail (up to 3 inches in diameter), and severe winds (gusts as high as 75 mph). I did encounter small hail a few times, but I was driving and did not get any good footage of it. Footage taken in Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin and Gurnee, Illinois.

Thanks for rolling down the window so we could hear the actual thunder! Some people just put fake thunder audio clips in the background and they don’t put in the real thunder so thanks for that!

2:52 was definitely a strike down. That definitely hit something. Geez.. like you can hear a slight "buzzz" before the explosion with those kind of bolts..

I think most of these are negative, but it's difficult to tell -- These strikes are no-doubt powerful, and they blur the line between positive and negative.

That was probably the best storm of the year. We had over 5 mins of hail and amazing lightning (Lake co. IL)
