Besides the 3D printing files & lens, I can't find any other documentation on this.. where ir the screen? How do you program it?
so you setup this display into 3d printed frame, connect raspberry pi zero and connect that with hdmi?
How do they look on head?
There is no Raspberry pi in this build. It works with regular windows PC
Wouldn't your eye not be able to focus on an image that close? I know vr headsets use lenses that create virtual images further out
If you look really close then you’ll notice that combiners (lenses) that I’ve used are actually bit round. Those reflect the image as well as magnify it. It’s perfectly easy for eye to focus on the image.
Would that mean an increase in curvature would make the image appear even further away?
I didn't really look up how AR works but read on another website the optimal distance for your eyes to see things is around 25cm away from them, meaning you'd need a lens that makes the image appear 25cm away.
Hi Manolo, i juste found your video, juste after saying me "Mmmm... I could print myself a AR headset", but, the link in the description does not seems to work, what keyword did you use to find those kind of lenses ?
I'm currently printing a modified version by myself, to put my smartphone in it ;)
Hi! Try to search for “AR headset” on AliExpress you should find it no problem. Original version, which I got the lenses from, already is designed for smartphone.
where can I get the lenses?
Are those combiners one way mirrors? Or are they like beam splitters?
Great work!
Cool
How to order the lens? Keywords/links for Ali?
Oh found the older video, i think i'll be able to find it now, i know approximately what to look for now.
@@khanhduy1535 Sold out everywhere at the moment, you may need to be patient. Anyway it's www.dhgate.com/product/2020-new-intelligent-ar-glasses-3d-video/540479987.html or www.aliexpress.com/item/4000929115907.html

I wanna try this with my hd drone and switch
how much FOV is in this?
Tutorial pls
i really dont get the point in this why would i bother 3dprinting this when i could just mount the screen into the headset you rip the lenses out of
@@ManolloMancelli it should. It’s meant for smartphones in a similar size range. Probably won’t be as snug or good looking though. I’ll have to try it that way anyway. My 3d printer is too small.
Mañolo guapo!
