Keep the videos coming, especially the features on the neighborhoods in the respective cities. Cover it all. You'll be doing a great service to your real estate clients as well as to the rest of us who no longer live there. Keep up the great work!
I lived all over the valley from the 90s to 2021. I loved the older areas of Chandler and Mesa. No HOAs, feels more established, houses dont all look the same. Ultimately, I left AZ to be in a cooler climate with 4 seasons, but if I ever had to live in AZ I would still gravitate toward the older more established east valley neighborhoods.
West Mesa born and raised.. Area of Main & Country Club.. 1st Ave between Extention & County Club It was off the chain in the 80s and 90s.. Way calmer now a days... Loved it....💪
I still have multiple fliers from the early 1980's printed by various real estate firms stating that blacks were not welcome in Mesa. We bought down here in 1984. We're white but I kept those handouts because I was so shocked by them.
I've lived in Mesa my whole life, i grew up on the east side that was technically nicer, new housing development, middle class families. Moved yo west mesa when i turned 18, i love this side of town! Yeah its definitely a little more ghetto but hey thats part of its charm lol I'm in the country club brown area just north of downtown. One thing i gotta say is on the west side here its more ghetto but i can leave stuff on my porch and no ine messes with it, when i lived in the nicer east side we were getting stuff stolen all the time. Either way just pointing out that crime statistics and neighborhoods don't always add up, great video! :)
We've visited Mesa/Chandler PHX area 5 times in last few years and its impossible to get over having everything be concrete or brown gravel and NO WATER anywhere. No rcreeks, no lakes, no nothing - except for man made golf ponds and the dammed salt river. We've tried to like the place but its hard. For those of you that like the desert, I would recommend Chandler / Foothills area. For Mesa i like Red Mountain Ranch and the areas near Salt River parks are pretty nice.
Awesome thank you so much video is great content is very very informing hoping to get back to Phoenix Arizona end of September. I am in New Jersey now and I also stayed in Arizona 2000 2021. Looking forward to 🙏👍🏽coming back to Phoenix Arizona love it looking for jobs a lot of opportunities. I just found one in Mesa East so that’s what caught my eye about your video.
When people leave May there no one around that’s a plus I live 1978 want school at kit Carson and Westwood high and came back a couple times I would not come for food maybe buffet
There is always a problem there if you are not Mormon, especially troublesome for children. And when you say it gets hot, you mean HOT - over 110 degrees many days of the summer. I lived there a while and hope I never see the place again.
The heat is definitely one of the more challenging parts of living in Arizona. I personally prefer the heat over cloudy days or snow, but I know some feel differently. Mesa is a great place for many people but not for everyone :)
It's amazing! The location is fantastic, the HOA is very reasonable considering the amenities offered, and there are a few fantastic bars/restaurants around the corner.
There’s inflation everywhere in small towns and large cities. There’s inflation in south America, Europe and Africa. I recently returned from those areas and the grocery prices are similar to the ones in the United States.
I’m moving from mesa apartment been shot up almost every other week and drop houses everywhere it’s not good for families to stay on country club and rio salado 😢
@CourtneyinPhoenix It was such a great school. I graduated in 2008. I remember the dean braging by our 4th year the YMCA would be ready for the students to enjoy. Meanwhile, it took three or four years after we graduated before that YMCA even began to be built. 😆 When did your hubby graduate?
Mesa is difficult. Some areas are really bad, lot of violent crime i experienced, some areas are very nice. They could be just down the street from each others, check crime maps if moving here
Mesa is nice enough. Scottsdale is nicer of course but both of them are to expensive for a lot of people. The western suburbs are more affordable and nice too.
Yes, I know several people who moved to Buckeye area for affordability! The east valley is fantastic but comes with a price tag. Which is a reason why many are moving further out (I.e. San Tan)
@@Caddo_Art Fountain Hills is actually quite a competitive housing market right now (5th highest market index for Phoenix metro). Anthem isn't quite as competitive but we're expecting quite a bit of growth out that direction. Particularly with TSMC starting operations in 2024. As far as safety, both of these areas have low crime rates according to sites like neighborhoodscout.com and crimegrade.org
Exactly, more on the northeast side of Mesa. I personally like this area! This general area is somewhat eclectic. You'll see some newer construction and then some pockets of older homes as well. According to sites like "crimegrade.org" and "neighborhoodscout", this area is definitely on the safer side. But I always recommend people drive or walk around just to make sure they like the area ☺
I own three homes in Las Sendas planned community. My daughter is building in Eastmark - which is the #1 planned community in the. USA!!! There are upscale areas in Mesa - with views that tbh, Scottsdale cannot come close to having.

Hey Brian! Are you looking for an area with more of a downtown feel? Or more just good energy? And are there any particular outdoor activities you like to pursue?
@@BC09a1 As for more downtown/urban areas, downtown/central Phoenix, Old Town Scottsdale, and Tempe (north side by campus) are probably the most energetic/younger areas. Chandler, Gilbert, and Mesa all have downtown areas as well with good energy! I would say historically these 3 areas were more suburban/family oriented. However, Chandler and Gilbert are definitely more up and coming making it more attractive for younger people in general. As for outdoor activities, even if you're downtown, you can access some sort of a trail system within 20-25 minutes pretty much anywhere in the city. There are plenty of gyms pretty much all across the valley too. However, some of the larger, swankier gyms are going to be in Scottsdale and central Phoenix. Phoenix is such a large area and varies so much! So it really just depends what you're looking for specifically! Feel free to email me if you have further questions 😀
The crime stats directly in Parkwood Ranch are relatively low compared to other parts of Mesa. I will say this general area (north of 60/east of 202) is kind of eclectic. One reason you should run away from Phoenix & surrounding areas is inflation. Phoenix, Dallas & Atlanta having a worst inflation in the country.
