impressive sound design on this one too. I got an e4xt ultra on the way and cant wait to route it into some great hw sound shaping, resample, and repeat into oblivion. I don't have a patch bay and very limited interface atm, and not much hardware outside of the emu on the way, but was thinking i could use the SiX as a way to get some quality eq and compression and the rerouting options back into the Emu for resampling. But am reconsidering a larger mixer thanks to your feedback and with the idea of acquiring more gear in the future in the back of my mind. but anyways, appreciate the informative and inspiring content.
Thanks man, I'm really not into neurofunk, that era ended for me in 2007. Almost everything comes from the emu, the virus just makes 3 sounds, the melody that comes in somewhere in the middle, the intro pad and one distorted chord that plays a few times throughout. Cheers!
@@ja-kidnb6416 Hmmm, I've been thinking about getting a different daw. I want one that has built in midi track hardware presets like pro tools has. I used to use pro tools and it was nice having a daw that could make a CC enabled midi track without having to set it up myself.
@@PleaseShutUpNowDude If you're into MIDI I recommend looking in a fully MIDI capable DAW like Sonar, Cubase, Logic and Digital Performer. These usually provide the tightes MIDI and MIDI CC aswell. Ableton for example has huge issues with MIDI
@@ja-kidnb6416 I was thinking Cubase but I'm not sure yet. I've been using Reason and it's kinda getting on my nerves lately. I wouldn't give on Reason completely but just keep my external hardware and VSTs in Cubase whatever else. I did see that Sonar is free now so I might check that out.
@@PleaseShutUpNowDude You know you could still rewire Reason into Cubase, so you could use both at the same time and using Reason like a VST Instruments

ordered me a basic 1604 mackie vlz pro mixer today to get the benefit of some more channels :) thanks for your thoughts
Came here expecting neurofunk. Lol let’s just say this is way cooler than that! Also question: what sounds do you have coming from the Emu?

What daw are you using?
In this case it's Ableton Live, but I like Sonar a lot, since the MIDI is a lot better and is the only thing I use
