We have been coming here for a week in August since 2020, this summer will be our 4th time coming and we absolutely love it! We drive down from Virginia Beach. There are lots of kids in the summer time. They have great poolside activities and play great music! The arcade, pools, lazy River, turtles, basketball courts and beach keeps our teenager very busy. The on-site restaurant has great food at decent prices and very friendly staff. The bath houses are very nice, so nice that we actually take all our showers there instead of in the RV. One thing to note about MBTP is they do not provide a fire ring, so bring your own if you want campfires at night. They do provide beautiful wooden picnic tables (bring a cover!) with a shaded hut over it that you show in your video. Bring some fun lights to hang over the table at night, there are always tons of leftover nails in the hut so you literally can just hang your lights, plug them in (or add batteries like we do) and have beautiful ambient lighting at nigh! MBTP is top notch, highly recommend!
Wow, this RV resort in Myrtle Beach seems like a tranquil oasis! I can understand why you would want to escape the hustle and bustle and find a peaceful retreat. The video did an excellent job showcasing the various amenities and natural beauty of the resort. The fully stocked pond/lake and the heated pool caught my attention, and I can imagine how enjoyable they must be during the summer. It's great to see that the resort caters more towards adults and provides a relaxing atmosphere. The review was informative and gave me a good sense of what to expect. Thanks for sharing this wonderful experience!
We came here a few times back many years ago . We really loved it. No complaints in any area. Hope to get to go again someday. Thank you for the review. ❤
Hearing you mention the little pavilions on each site, there was a permanent camper there that made hers into a library for all the campers. She had it walled in with thick plastic , with shelves and chairs. You could pick a book or leave a book. It was really nice.
My family and I stayed last summer here and it was amazing. We actually took off our shoes before entering our RV and never had an issue with sand inside. We had a huge RV camping rug outside and I swept it off every day. Definitely staying here this year as well. Happy Camping 🎉😊
I have been camping there for 45ish years (not exactly sure of the year I started camping there with my parents). We absolutely love MBTP and now my kids and in-laws love it as well. I agree it doesn’t have as much for kids as some other campgrounds but there’s enough to keep our kids busy. We usually start the day on the beach and end the day at the pool. One thing that I have grown to love is that they only allow golf carts for permanent sites or for someone that needs one for a handicap situation. I’m not a fan of how golf carts can cause a campground to feel really cluttered and crowded and how golf cart parades can cause traffic jams inside a campground. The location is perfect as it is only about a mile from Walmart, Tanger outlets, a few good restaurants and then a few miles to Basspro, and it’s not on a main road. Also, for just under $8 you can order your groceries from Walmart online and they will deliver right to your campsite so you don’t have to pack the groceries or go shopping when you arrive. We will be there the last week of June and we can’t wait. Thank you for sharing.
Great review, The wife and I are headed to Florida in our 25ft camper for the month of January. We really like your channel and have Subscribed to you over all the other channels because of your honesty. We plan to go for up to 3 months in the winter and see how it goes. We are from Ohio and looking forward to going south through the hard winter months. Keep it real and honest and thank you for the info.
Thanks! It is a great park and we enjoyed our time there! You will love Florida for the winter. Being from NH, we can relate to the winter up north. Florida is where to go for sure. We are heading that way in about a month. Welcome to our journey! 😀
Great coverage on a great place - my family is returning this summer. Do you happen to have any further information on the shelter covers you mentioned? I can’t seem to find anything.
Hi there! I don’t. They do have a Facebook page that you can ask. The person that makes them was advertising at his site. Have a great time this summer! Karri
So we are thinking about booking our week there. One question that I have though is, does this RV park allow chairs and small shades that are made for beachside use? we've stayed for a few days at the park north of this place and they don't allow anything but a 7ft in diameter umbrella at most with 2 towels literally. we have 2 or 3 beach chairs that we like to sit on while on the sand, also we have a small shade that both chairs fit in so we aren't blasted by the wind and sun. Many folk use these beach shades everywhere except for some reason on the Myrtle Beach state park, even the Huntington Beach state park allows these confort amenities. So has anyone seen them being used here or do I not bother staying here if they allow us to use what we have always used elsewhere. thanks in advanced for any and all input.

I’m gonna check this place out this summer! Thanks for the update!

Hi Lisa,
Shoes on or off, the sand was plentiful and so was the sweeping lol.
Have fun and safe travels.

My wife and I begin our "winter" Seasonal Retirement living here in Oct, 2024! Can't wait!
That is great! Enjoy, we miss that place - might even pop back in around April, save us a spot 🤣

I agree this time of year is perfect for me! Low heat, humidity, and crowds! Oh and the prices are better too I'm sure.💯
Oh yes they are much better! Prices are crazy high in the summer!

I would recommend calling the park directly to confirm
Are the secondary roads all gravel?
The internal roads are paved but covered over with sand. Only drawback to this place is sand is everywhere!
