If you just need it for drawing, I would recommend an iPad Air. Even with the Apple Pencil Pro it is cheaper and has more functionality, but if you want a big screen the paper pro would be cheaper then the iPad Pro 13 inch which would act the same as an air (for drawing and note taking) but be 3x more expensive.
Great review, but I wish you would have mentioned the price that you bought it for instead of just saying that it is expensive. Mentioning the advertised hours of battery life would have been helpful as well.
Sorry about that. In the past I’ve realized pricing varies dramatically depending on country and time of year (sales) so I generally leave it to the watcher to check the price
@@whytheory3251 The Box 4 c sucks. Just received it yesterday and returning it today. It’s so slow. Writing on a pdf file takes too long. Zooming in and out of the file will crash the device. And getting split screen to work is impossible. I tried opening a blank note next to the pdf file to take notes and it somehow deleted 2 pages off my pdf. The short cuts are also unreliable. I ended up resetting it after 2 hours and it back in the box to return. It’s too overpriced for how much it malfunctions. Not worth more than $149. And it’s not just me. I watched videos but hoped I wouldn’t have the same bad experiences but I did. At least this remarkable is responsive the he writes.
Yeah..... I don't like it lol I like the idea of it but, the flash flash flash while each page loads, when zooming in /out... Idk something about that gives me anxiety. 🤔
The reMarkable brand is especially designed for taking notes. However, the Paper Pro, with its 11.8' screen, does not offer an ideal format for this use. I recommend without hesitation the reMarkable 2, with its 10.3' screen, which is perfect for mobile use. Its featherweight of 403.5 g and its thickness of only 4.7 mm make it an ideal companion for taking notes, even standing up. Thank you for your very explicit video.
I am so tired of keyboard, point-and-click, and touch devices that do everything. I just want something that I can open and start creating with. I consider the expense of the reMarkable as an investment in a company that is focused on what I need and is doing a great job of it.
I dunno....some thing tells me u just can't beat a good quality mechanical pen, a rollerball/gel pen/fountain pen being written on an exceptional A4 writing pad.
its just a piece of paper with electricity going through it. my work gave everyone 1 of these for christmas and im still figuring out what in the ever living hell i am meant to do with this, it doesnt feel to have any uses for a software engineer who hasnt used a pen and paper in over a decade. if it had speakers and some media capability sure, but its just as i said; a piece of thick paper with electricity going through it
They would make more sense as cheaper and all around products for general use. It's cool in concept, but not in practice. This thing hardly justifies itself because virtually all people wouldn't even spend that much on paper in 5 years, and paper is easier to handle, pocket, or toss because most writing is short term throwaway stuff. No one is going to cry over a piece of paper if it gets damaged, but they will cry over this tablet if it does. That's why it only makes sense as a cheaper mass produced product for every household, to essentially replace most common paper use. Outside of that, it's too niche, even for niche areas of use. If it was $50, people would buy it in droves, and it'd become a staple in households just for the low cost and convenience. But at $600+, there's nothing convenient about it, and it becomes a burden to care for. Most people don't have anything important enough to write that they need to buy a $600 piece of paper to write it on. Even when paper was the only thing you could write with, people weren't spending that much on it even over a 10 year period. So it kind of works against itself by not being intended for mass production at the lowest cost with the intent to make profit through volume.
@@peoplez129 Exactly, for me its super awkward to come up with a use for this other than "doodling during meetings" or just writing down something super quick. But when I said its around 600€, without the "Book Folio" case mind you we did get one so its more like a 800€ slab of electric paper, they said "thats weird" and moved on.
