June 19th! not March......just making fun of myself before anyone comments..
It's just the weirdos that emigrate from Canada to the USA. Canada welcomes all people. UBC engineers are working on moving the Statue of Liberty to Belle Island. You're not a real proctologist.
Good job. I wood prefer rubber tires, too. The paint job's easier and when the tan's running the tracks won't scratch off the paint. The tracks look amazing👍
Agreed, really not sure why they didn't do rubber tires on the Sheridan, the wheels are not abnormally tiny. Glad you like how my tracks weathering/paint came out, first time for me using desert dust.
@@PitstainHobbies Price policy. Things you can see at first sight on the box and will guaratee the model functionality they put in and keep the price of the kit as low as possible. Eveything else (ball bearings, metal parts, etc.) which has the customer in mind but don't asks while buying, has to be upgraded. As soon you start the building you here Admiral Ackbar screem inside your head "it's a trap!"😁
@@RCBirds Most Tamiya kits are perfectly fine with no aftermarket parts, the exception sometimes being tracks if heavy use is involved, the ball bearings I add really are not needed but put less strain on the motors and electronics sometimes giving a small bump on running time. The barrel swap was purely for the ascetic I am aiming for and is not needed, this tanks has a very well build chassis that already has very stout metal suspension and track tensioner, one of the best I have seen yet.
@@PitstainHobbies Thank you for the extra informations. Maybe my point of view is too much buggy-experienced😉. I still want a Gepard😁
@@RCBirds Oh the RC cars, trucks, and buggies are a whole different world of upgrades that are almost mandatory if you plan to drive it as intended. The Gepard is very cool, but also a very old tank kit missing alot of the features the modern full option tanks have and costs alot to convert to modern features.
Hey Ian, are you sure to thin acrylic washes with white spirits? Usually water or alcohol should work just fine.
I am so used to using the white spirits with Tamiya liner and mig streaking grime I accidentally did it with the wash a long time ago and it really worked just fine.
What did you use for synthetic rubber cement and tamiya instant cement as can't find these locally. Thanks
B-7000 rubber cement from Amazon, it's fantastic, other than that the rest of the model I built with Tamiya extra thin or plastruct plastic weld glue.
@@PitstainHobbies thanks that's 👍
@@philipmillard1651 happy to be of help, good luck with your build!
Where do you buy tamiya tanks every place other than ebay is always sold out.
I get them here shop.aaftankmuseum.com/searchresults.asp?cat=1838 or ebay since quite a few models have been discontinued by Tamiya over the last few years.
@@PitstainHobbies thanks so much.
Man got to come up with a fix for the mantlet canvas .
Yeah I'm going to try and find a thin handkerchief and try again.
How are the cats doing?
Cat is good, dogs are good as well.
maybe this guy from California would like to make another barrel set and ship to Europe?
He stated to me that his machinist friend was not going to make any more but there is another option and it's Europe based mk-modellbau.de/main_bigware_34.php?pName=royal-ordnance-105mm-l7a1-for-tamiya if the link doesnt show just search for mk-modelbau
@@PitstainHobbies thank you for the quick reply. yes, I know that they have such a barrel in mi modellbau, but it is partly made of resin, besides, I really like yours. as we say when you don't like what you like, you like what you have :)
@@igiPS-hn2sp I hear you, unfortunately the guys machinist said no more but you can join the rcuniverse forums and pm rich johnson.
