Pipe Major Mathieson's Farewell to Shotts

The House of Edgar Shotts and Dykehead Pipe Band playing their medley in the Grade One competition at the World Pipe Band Championships held at Glasgow Green on 14 August 2010.
Robert Mathieson is retiring as pipe major of the band and this was his last appearance at the Worlds as Pipe Major leading the band in the medley.
Tunes played are: The First One Hundred, Johnnie's Jig A Deal Wi the Devil, Heartland, Caledonian Society of London, Lady MacKenzie of Gairloch, Hazel Lazell, The Privovar Express, and Lost.
House of Edgar Shotts and Dykehead were placed fifth in the Grade One Championship in a contest which seemed tighter than ever at the top.

First time i've ever seen two bass drummers competing with the same band at the same time!

I've seen it before but it's quite rare - that's what happens when you do silly things like muffling bass drums. Even with two muffled bass drums it's still less than one unmuffled bass drum. I prefer the Later, If you look around @ various other clips military Ps & Ds tend to have either little or no muffling ! As for one heavily muffled bass drum why even bother using it?
