Yeah, the longer the game goes, the less I know how a particular tech or unit will affect the outcome. I knew Acid on the Scorpions would be good, but I wasn't sure it'd be enough.
@@WhoopedGG I think thats what helps the videos develop drama. Even if you had lost the game it would have been thrilling to see the fight. It would have made for great content regardless!
Yeah, it wasn't too shabby. I like getting range in that situation though cause it puts a lot of pressure. But EMP did end up working out decently well.
Yeah, that's definitely a thing. We really need an undo button. The number of times I've misclicked something and gotten blasted in the following rounds.
Awesome game! Real nail bitter! I think your elite high level arclights won you that match. They simply never stopped clearing chaff, and were so long ranged that the chaff was removed as a threat essentially the moment they could come into range enough to distract your scorps and snipers. And of course, if there was ever a split second there was no chaff, they emped the enemies carry units. Genuinely think thats what won you this. Of course as with any good strat, its the combination of all the little pieces that bring home the cake. Well played!
Yeah, they were coming in clutch. He had so much chaff and even though I didn't have a lot of them, they were putting in work. I do think I should have gotten a couple more though.
Man, they should add a 1 time per game "undo" token for 'tech' and 1 for 'unlock units', usable only in the same round as the mistake happened. U needed 2 or 3 more Arcs after he got loose formation.
I believe they plan to add an undo button. In one of Bearlike's streams, I think he said they tried to add it but couldn't get it done in time for the launch. So hopefully for the next major update it'll happen
I wouldn't have taken ion blast on round 5. It might be devastating but when you’re both at well over 3k health you’re not going to end the game and intensive training would have given better value in the long term. I also think you could have bought more chaff. You had 8 units of chaff on round 5 and 11 units on round 12.
Hey, Stephen. I appreciate the comment! I disagree about not taking Ion Blast--in my mind it's a must-have in this situation. It's not really for round five, it's to (potentially) end it on round nine. Had he not taken it, the game would have been over on nine. And if I didn't take it and he still did, I would have lost (in my opinion). I do agree with you on buying more chaff. I had 13 on 12 (two Crawlers were kind of hidden away in each back corner), but I do think I could have used a couple more. At minimum I would have liked two more. I did have the Crawler spawn which helped a little bit on round 12. Moreso than my chaff, though, was that I didn't do a good enough job at clearing his. I mean, I guess overall it was enough but just from a how-can-I-do-better-next-time standpoint, I need to clear his chaff a little better.

@@stephenwigfull7198 I can't predict how the game will unfold or what his board will look like, but typically Ion Blasts are devastating into standard boards, so adding it to my tool bag is something I am happy to do. I will probably take this 10/10 times in similar situations. That being said, that's just my opinion. I value abilities more than most probably do.
Good question. Typically I'm trying to get range on my Arclights going. Basically, I'm in a battle to get range on all the major units before my opponent does. Sometimes it just doesn't leave much room for Storms. Sometimes I'll get 'em to lvl 2 though.
Why'd you pick the Sabers instead of getting the mass-produced Forts out with that first unit drop? Did you just forget you picked that card (I've never done that in my life, what are you looking at?) or was there something on the opponent's board that made you ditch the Fort plan?

The storm caller emp missclick looked like it worked out. Slowed enemy units right down, most died just outside his bubble.

Why do you never upgrade your storms early when they do some absolute work?

I thought about taking the card due to its scaling ability but I opted for the Scorpion one. Just cause I love Scorpions 😁
