Glad we were able to show you some good games. While looking for Amsterdam, keep in mind that it reimplements Macao, so if you happen to find a copy of that cheap, it's pretty much the same game.
I wonder if you would try Shadows of Brimstone? Granted there are a ton of expansions and I have the 3 Core sets and Blasted Wastes but man what a game
The "Weird West" has always been a theme I've been intrigued by (never got deep into Doomtown, but man, what a setting). It's something I would certainly try if a good deal comes my way. I'll add it to my mental list of games to look out for!
Couldn't agree more. We're planning on making a video with an updated list once we do reviews of a few more games, but our starting list is pretty solid. It'll be interesting to see if much changes over time.
Not every game is for everyone. I always say that every game out there is someone's favourite, even if it's not mine. I can only speak for myself and what I like. What elevates Arnak for me is that there are times where the obvious conversion is not the best one. It's fun for me to have those moments when I'm like, "OK, I can get what I need here... WAIT! If I go here instead, buy this relic, move up here, use the assistant I just picked up, I'll get what I need PLUS I've got some of what I needed for next turn!" There are so many moments like that that make a player feel clever, and that experience is what I like about the game. That may not be your experience, and that's ok. You've got your games that scratch that itch for you. Do you have a recommendation we could look into? If there is a game you prefer, we may find we prefer it too!
@grog3514 We will look out for that one. I was wondering why I haven't heard of it as it is listed as a game from 2021 (with a 7.6 respectable rating on BBG), but it looks like it was a victim of the Covid shipping delays, so it's hitting stores now. We're not afraid to give games a few plays to see how it settles in. If you've watched out Great Western Trail video, we talk about how taking a break and returning to it somehow made it shine for us.
Like the game WINGSPAN very much, it has beautiful cards and eggs.Thank you
Agreed. The production is what you would expect from a "deluxe" edition from other publishers!
Interesting! I've got to look into the Amsterdams. Thanks for adding a couple to my wishlist!

CoB is so good. So many fantastic games on both your list. Calico, Cascadia, TTR, and Lost Cities are all epic.

Lost Ruins of Arnak is top tier. When my husband and I are in a game rut, Arnak always brings us out of it.
Yeah. I hope Lisa gets over her burnout soon, I want to try the co-op mode!
Its a bog standard resource conversion game with a tacked on deck building attempt. I don't understand the love. Its a 6 tops. What are we missing?

@@shelfcontrolgames for resource conversion games, we like the game shadow network. Give it two plays before you judge it though. It's very good.
