I would have liked to have an additional 5-10 min section that explains the relationship between Neural Networks and mathematical functions (e.g. one layer and no activation function = linear combination)

Do you subtract or add the bias? I did some further research, and the sources I looked at said you add the bias to the sum

i think thats for the perceptron model where you add the bias? most neural network I see now are just subtracting.
