Yes. Nowadays, the so called "open minded" Muslims, especially celebrities think that no one should criticize them of their clothing. Muslim girl celebrities just keep on posting their vulgar pics on Instagram and if anyone criticizes them, they just ask the individual to unfollow. I mean what the hell man, don't you want to go to heaven? Instead you should be thankful that someone is guiding you on the right path, many people are not even able to access these guidance.
@@muaazayaz5001 True, but we should always be respectful and kind when explaining. I’ve seen people do this rudely and do they think that Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) ever did that to people? No, he was always very kind and gentle with his words, because he understood that being rude or mean with your words would get you nowhere and could in fact cause people to move away from Islam. Kindness is always the way to guide people. And instead of calling people out in public, I think it’s better to inform them privately as it’s more respectful.
@@muaazayaz5001 lol, they don’t want to. And why should they be thankful for strangers annoying them and bothering them? That’s just plain rude and disgusting behaviour. If they post vulgar pics and you are following them and you do not like them, then just unfollow them!!! And if you are following Islam why are you seeing those pictures in the first place? And why are you following them when you should stay away from this type of sins according to our religion?🤔. First start to be kind and respectful. Go and talk with them privately and just talk with them once rather than forcing your opinion! And How would you like if someone breaks into your house and takes away your telivision and phone and says that you should be grateful as he took away the things which took away most of your time? And you should be grateful now because you can read the Quran now instead of watching TV or doing things on your phone?
@Anshul Gupta Face mask? You mean Niqab. That's really not necessary. You just need to wear Hijab. But you should also know we humans have a choice. If you don't want to wear the hijab there's consequences for it in the after life same with men. If a men or women commits lets say murder there's also consequences for that. Everything we do good or bad we will see it in the afterlife. You can follow islam by your choice if you want no ones forcing you. There's no compulsion in religion. You are asking why hijab is the hijab only for women? You must understand the hijab is a connection with our Lord ITS way we fully show our submission to only one God. Men can also dress in a way to show their submission to the absolute one. With a beard or a qamis. Men and women are equal in different ways. There things allowed for men and things allowed for women and theres also things forbidden for both genders.

You are absolutely right sister, some of them have problems. But the point to note is, we women must take the precaution to safeguard ourselves. You don’t walk Infront of hyena, and complain if they bite. And they are answerable to Allah SWT for their actions as well. Also, I’m pretty confident, whatever problems you have faced being covered, you would have faced 10-fold if you weren’t covered. (Telling this from experience).
@Abdullah Abtahee I realize that your purpose was to encourage her to cover herself, but it feels like your way of doing it was very wrong. Sorry if that was not your intention, but your words could be very badly misunderstood.
@Abdullah Abtahee I literally cannot understand what you're trying to say, because you are contradicting yourself. Are you saying that women are just a body? Or that they are not just a body? What is it that I need to accept?
@Abdullah Abtahee Ahhhh I see what you're trying to say. You're saying that men are animals and only see women as flesh, and thats why women's bodies are used as commercial advertisement. If you're that type of man, never speak to me again, lmaoooo

You'd be surprised... I once went out and was wearing long clothes and hijab but I still got sexually harassed. That is horrible and may Allah punish them.
Yes. It shows how some cowards are still willing to harass you despite you dressing modestly. That’s the reality of harassers and rapists. Clothing doesn’t stop them from doing what they want but may punishments befall upon them and that we wear the hijab not to only protect our modesty but mainly for Allah.
I suffered with body dysmorphia becuase I felt my body looked ugly in certain tight/ revealing clothing. I felt that I needed to lose weight to look more desirable in those clothes, watching this video really put things into perspective because it made me realize that its not necessarily how your body looks in the clothing, its how you choose to cover it/ what you choose to show. It's no body's bussiness to judge what every curve of your body looks like. Once you cover up you gain a sense of power and privacy that your body is yours and nobody else's. You are less likely to be objectified and judged for how you look. You are no longer enslaved to standards and false beleifs of what is 'beautiful'.
Uhm Biology defines what is beautiful for men and women . And biology is right. The ideal male and female body is above average and something hard to achieve.but its not impossible. . Many men and women feel insecure about their body. Modesty might help them. Hijab too
Well lots of men and women use their bodies to gain attention and attraction. . Its normal biology for humans to do this. But doesn't mean its right. We should be controlling ourselves and lowering our gaze and Also observing out Hijab/modesty
Why not just respect people in general there are many women that are selfish and evil that cover up as well, also you have to have a life and ignore people that judge you. You cannot test a person by coving up, think of it this way If I have a exam paper can I just cover up the paper and say I have passed the test no that’s not how it works.
‼️‼️‼️‼️ Right !!!!! So disgusting how when I used to wear tight and short clothes I’d get praises to the point it was overwhelming and I starved myself and did rlly unhealthy things to lose weight, but when I wore looser clothes I felt 1000x better without a bunch of VULTURES gawking at me. It’s always I’m too fat and disgusting the second I gain 5 pounds but when I lose it wowwwww so beautiful. 😑😑😑😑😑 This is why modest clothes are way prettier and for our protection🥰😍😍✨✨✨ I dress w nice sparkling clothes and jewelry & feel way better. No one has the right to be staring at every curve in my body anyways. Astaghfirullah
@muhammadazzuhry697 I have seen plenty of time that the "religious" speaker is talking rudely to women not wearing hijab. The speaker shouldn't do this but lodged a complaint with the relevant authorities. When the speaker talks rudely to the woman not wearing hijab it reflects back on modern islam. What should be done is a poster outside the venue on what is or not allowed to wear so as to prevent "incidences"
Mufti Menk is the only person I can listen to about sensitive topics such as this, mashAllah he has a beautiful way of explaining things and dresses brilliantly himself
From my point of view a revert to Islam a lot of people tried to teach me when they did not understand themselves a lot of times people talked from a cultural point of view rather than an Islamic point. And they talked harshly rather than trying to say in an understanding way, or to even point me where in the Quran to look to find the answers, I struggled especially with dressing modestly being new to Islam sometimes I wore what others may not consider as modest. I needed help/guidance not criticism. Allah swt brought me to Islam we as fellow Muslims should try and assist that journey not hinder it. Remember we will be asked. Also I’m talking from my experience but I also appreciate that just because some one may have been born into a Muslim family does not mean they have been taught the right things if anything at all, they may be struggling also. So true. Prophet Muhammad married minor Aisha because it was legal during medieval times. He married her because of her wits. Feels so horrible how people these days are having rigid morality. If it's okay for a woman to wear man's clothes, why are men shamed for wearing woman's clothes? All because of the rigid gender roles and morality. I like to cross dress sometimes. I love the experience of feeling like a woman. I wish humans can be more mature and understand that having new experiences and also having personal values that are not common are okay and perfectly normal. Since our life is already such a limited thing. Though we are timeless beings of the universe. I wish people are more accepting and understanding. I love Allah, even though I'm not a muslim. I'm a Hindu by birth. I've attained enlightenment after so much depression and suffering. I will live to my best for the rest of my life. Being altruistic.

Well I have so many questions to ask to my parents but they never explain why we have to do and if we ask for farther they say "you,re disrespecting us, you are not listening us and you will make us go to hell" These words are so painful for me to hear from my parents At last I want to say I,m ready to do everything but what I need is reason, respect for me and in better way rather than by saying it in a way of "screaming and rudeness" Plz give answer too, because I have no one I can ask!!!! One more thing "is it considered disobedience? If we share with our parents that what we like and what we don't like?" Because whenever I share with them they say I,m not obeying them or listening to them😞
Hello malaika, i just wanted to answer your question, if you're trying then you don't have to worry about it being a sin, there are people who cover up yet yell at people right? People may judge you kindly or unkindly but they don't understand everything about you and that situation do they? You're not being rude and they may act like that because they feel like you're little and you know in the environment they grew up in, they think it's okay to talk to their children like that and there's many reasons why they act like that It is good that you're asking questions because you are understanding reasons instead of blindly following something. It doesn't mean you're undeserving of respect, you are I know you want to seek their approval but first you have to work with yourself and have confidence and keep asking questions Its not disobedience to speak what you want to maybe try to Console them and say that you just wanted to speak and want to know what they think about it and want to know the history behind it I know I'm late but your comment reminded me of myself and i hope you're happy
To be honest with you, if you want a reason and gentle reminders you'll probably have to search online or through someone who's knowledge you trust because it doesn't seem that you will get that from your parents. This isn't ideal, but ask Allah to guide you. Allah knows best. They are not the ones to decide who goes to Hell. And telling your parents about your likes and dislikes is not disobedience. As long as you are always being polite. You are not the same person as your parents. May Allah guide us all. Just remember not to harsh and unreasonable for your kids when you grow up. InshaAllah
My advice is your 16 worry more on your education than your clothes and pleasing family with what you wear is not easy trust me. Lol I always think I dress well but people say they just don't like it, but don't say what's wrong with it? (you have a lot of light with in you) the outer layer with you looking good adds more light you then become too bright for people to see you so try dress a little more humble, also do you want people to look at you in love or lust? I hope this helps, still confusing I know lol bless you and your family 👪 😊 lol

growing up I didn't have a lot of possibilities to express myself the way I wanted to. It may sound cliché, but the way I wear my clothes is so important to me and I'll never let it go. Some "muslim" will say that the way that I dress is haram, or inappropriate but sincerely idgaf. Honestly, my body is mine, and the choices that I make are there to please myself and myself only. It's literally not against no one in particular, but I hate it when someone tells me how and what to wear. At the end of the day I am the one living in this body, not you. Only I am allowed to tell and to a have a word about how I decide how to live MY life. And sometimes I feel like people tend to forget this. I feel confident, I feel powerful, and I simply feel just like myself wearing the clothes that I choose to wear. I also feel like people tend to focus on stuff like this too much, when it's literally none of their business. There are so much other topic to talk about, so many other problems that muslim people face EVERYDAY, that I think this one specifically is quite irrelevant. Just my opinion tho.

@Anshul Gupta Men need to cover too brother. Their chests knees and they can't wear tight clothing. Both men and women.
I am not a Muslim. I am wanting to learn about Islam. I really respect what you have said here about how this applies to both men and women. Thank you for your video. May Allah bless you.

I’m a girl totally covered but I still find problems everywhere! The problem I think is not in what we are wearing is in others brain that see us only as a body !
Yes modesty is not just for women but also for men. Almighty says if you see a women to lower your gaze .
Please do not refer to women as just a body (which to me seemed akin to flesh) and understand that we are both equal in the eyes of Allah, and that women and men cover for the sake of Allah, and both genders also lower their gaze for the sake of Allah.

Uhm Biology defines what is beautiful for men and women
.

Masha Allah, this explanation has opened my heart to dress more modestly nowwww INSHAALLAH
Be kind to one an other, guide them in a positive way. May Allah swt bless all who read this. Ameen 🙏

Nice excuse but you know this is the truth you're more likely to get harassed sexually when you're not dressed well this is the nature of some men

Well I,m from Pakistan and I,m 16, and I want to tell you something I want my parents, friends, relatives and everyone to tell me to how to wear according to Islam but the fact is that the way people tell me breaks my heart they should tell atleast with some kindness, and respectfully
But they say it in a rude tune and make us feel like we have done a crime,I know it is a sin but kindness is the key right???
Well I have so many questions to ask to my parents but they never explain why we have to do and if we ask for farther they say "you,re disrespecting us, you are not listening us and you will make us go to hell"
These words are so painful for me to hear from my parents
At last I want to say I,m ready to do everything but what I need is reason, respect for me and in better way rather than by saying it in a way of "screaming and rudeness"
Plz give answer too, because I have no one I can ask!!!!
One more thing "is it considered disobedience? If we share with our parents that what we like and what we don't like?"
Because whenever I share with them they say I,m not obeying them or listening to them😞
Hello malaika, i just wanted to answer your question, if you're trying then you don't have to worry about it being a sin, there are people who cover up yet yell at people right? People may judge you kindly or unkindly but they don't understand everything about you and that situation do they?
You're not being rude and they may act like that because they feel like you're little and you know in the environment they grew up in, they think it's okay to talk to their children like that and there's many reasons why they act like that
It is good that you're asking questions because you are understanding reasons instead of blindly following something.
It doesn't mean you're undeserving of respect, you are
I know you want to seek their approval but first you have to work with yourself and have confidence and keep asking questions
Its not disobedience to speak what you want to maybe try to Console them and say that you just wanted to speak and want to know what they think about it and want to know the history behind it
I know I'm late but your comment reminded me of myself and i hope you're happy
Don't be upset . Pray for yourself and for others .
This things will not bother you inshallah

growing up I didn't have a lot of possibilities to express myself the way I wanted to.
Rewatch the video you missed the whole point

I am going to ask you to make a dua for the land of Habesha , Ethiopia that had done so much for dinel Islam. It is becoming impossible for some to make a living with racial violence. The situation is worsening day by day. People falling in a trap of very ill thinking opposition politicians. JZK.
Are there many different races in Ethiopia? May Allah make it easy for the Ummah and other innocents in Ethiopia.
We love you, Mufti Menk!

Why do you only focus on women and forget that God mentioned men as well?!
Ma Shaa Allah, Mufti. Alhamdulillah. Beautifully explained.
Mufti menk removed his braces!, who recognize that?
maa sha Allah. this is what I call eloquent speech!
mufti mank please duah for me i have so much problem 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
The problem is the way we highlighted women to cover, don’t do this with men. We must call out for both gender. One more thing is lowering gaze which goes with both gender too. But nobody wants to have that conversation
I will wear whatever I want
Then you'll face consuqunces
@@coffeyplaysgames see. I am not muslim but I respect the dressing sense of others unless it has some limits..
@@coffeyplaysgames The consuqunce of being happy and enjoying life.
Your god shouldn't be so concerned about clothing. I except better from an all power for god.
@@anjalisartistry870 it do have limits
@@Yipppppeeeeee stop trying exaggerate our god has commanded us men and women to dress modestly for a reason otherwise it has consequences and you know what those consuauences are
Most realistic talk
No men should be okay with whatever women wear..only the minds of men should change not the clothes women wear. So women should wear whatever so that it becomes normal to see women wear that..the more you hide the more the frustrated desire
Actually you have understood it wrong just as the men have to dress properly the women must dress properly so it's no men issue or a man mindset !
In islam as a muslim society it has dress codes as any other society or community and everyone dress in that way that the area location accept as proper. And islam has its proper just as everything else so if u follow islam then to cover is a part of it no matter what gender
Normalising women's comfortablity is not for Islam...demonizing it however...

As a Muslim I’m going to be honest, it’s really depressing and suffocating to not to wear whatever you want because a woman’s body part considered ‘shameful’ but in reality women who are more covered are more likely to face assault than a women wearing revealing outfits. The only solution to this is teach men to respect women.
Exactly
Exactly, I'm totally agree with u..if there is prblm in women's cloths..why baby girl ,age less than 5 are raped.. the prblm is not in women's cloth.but the wrong mentality of men about women..when we go outside.we always feel uncomfortable due to these men...teach men's.that they need to change their bad mentality .. otherwise this society always blame women's...

I don't questioned anything whatever my creator said i follow because its so simple i dont have any knowledge what my creator has ,He is the knower of seen and unseen ,so why would i questioned everything unnecessarily???
@@Sheikh_Nishad_Hyder1948 🤝🤝Mashaa'Allah well said. The only thing women know is how to blame men on everything. The good thing is that they can only blame men in this life 😂😂
You advice us in a good and kind way,you help us,God reward you ferdaws aela.we are proud of you .
But if a western ask your mom ro take off her hijab and ask her to wear bikini, it will considere as rude. We all know how we should dress. We no need anyone to tell us using religion. No one should interfere in my life or faith. Thousand of Muslim keep telling women how to dress. Im sorry. That just some harassment and force. We need to stop this "beauty standard" and stop telling others how to dress
We need to start teaching people that they will not go to hell if someone else is sining..that like everything else is between them and Allah (swt )
A very helpful reminder. Jazakallahu kheiran
This is why Muslims are stuck in the medieval ages. We care too much about petty, insignificant issues. We're too busy policing each other on clothing. Meanwhile, non-Muslims are out there making the technology we all use daily. Non-Muslims are out there making the film, music, and print media the world consumes daily. Non-Muslims are out there actually shaping the world. Muslims are too busy debating whether certain clothes are halal or not while war and rape run rampart in their countries.
Muslims are stuck in the mid ages because we advice each other to dress properly?
That's a new thing for me because all people, societies and communities has a dress code and the society follow that code !
As a muslim u follow the muslim dress code.
In africa we have the tribes not wearing any cover for their uper body and the women are shirtless. If those women came to Europe or the west and the police started to tell her excuse me mam you cant be dress like this it's not proper to our dress code and then she could say according to your argument that the west are stuck in the medieval times not accepting her to wear clothes her way !
So stop talking b.s because your lies is rotten and will get exposed sooner or later
Hey dude trust me, technology is gonna bring us downfalls. We are already so dependant on techs, that's literally what's gonna consume us. And making films? Like what pinocchio live action? Cruella devil????? No thanks we don't want those shitty movies. Shaping the world? You guys are trying to westernize every parts of world and honestly ruining this place.
We are fine in medieval times.
@@thetruthhurts922 So in your opinion Europe is bad because women can't go naked in public the way some African tribes do. Will Muslim countries allow women to do this?
Stop talking bs because your lies are rotten and you'll get exposed sooner or later.

Your thumbnails are awesome as always 😂😍❤️❤️❤️
I proud to have such a teacher in this time. I'm living in a European country but I never heard anyone to say bad word to anyone but when I was lived in Pakistan Allah swt keep women save in that country they are Muslims by name you can not find Islam in there every day living not all but 80% of young ppl was not supposed to be like a Muslim young man should be Allah swt help us all. In there no matter how good you were hijab they will fallow you like a person who never saw women and they using so cheap words that even if a woman getting sick she never like to go to the doctor. When I moved to Europe I found better ways of living even they are not Muslim but they respect you as a woman. We should were what our Allah swt want from us. And we should pray for all our sisters which living in Islamic countries.

Yaa, all the time
Don’t tell me let me read it first myself in the Quran
How can I help a sister, who used to wear right Hijab and Niqab way before Corona and struggled for the sake of Allah and now over time wears less hijab (First removed Niqab, started Makeup and now shorter and tigther clothes with adornments) It makes me really sad and I dont know how to politely help the sister.
Show her the hadith about women who are dressed but naked. Advise her in a gentle way, tell her that her akhira is way more imp than the temporary satisfaction of looking good. May Allah guide us all
