5:35 He's been in the room for five minutes and he's already broken something. This child.
@@medicinemercury1520 Nothing but perfection. And by perfection, I mean "a bit rubbish."
"Maybe, I should've married Michael Sheen."
I'd like to see Michael's reaction.
Nicoll Wilson
could’ve fainted like a shy Englishwoman in the 18th century,... Really Dramatically
I mean, he'd jump at the chance! He'd scream yes before David could finish his sentence. Have you seen the interview with them both on the Graham Norton show where David shows off his Welsh? Micheal Sheen looks ready to fall on his knees and propose the very second.
@@SSMp315 Right? I mean, he is channeling the Aziraphale-heart-eyes so much there. :D
Michael Sheen isn't playing Aziraphale.
Aziraphale is playing Michael Sheen.
How can anyone be that funny and charming all the time?
I know, right.David is just an amazingly talented lovable, kind, compassionate and smart person. He has great insight into his fellow human beings. David is a humanitarian, which he has shown by all the charities he supports. David is what the world needs rigt now. I love him.
He's so delightful, I LOVE him.
He's like a five-year-old in a 48-year-old's body, what a cutie pie.
Can i just say that i appreciate the fact that they had a translator for deaf people on the stage? That shows that they actually care for people who watch their panels)
And also, David is a child, someone hug him🤩
David usually does have a signer, and he often interacts with them. Check out his Dallas Fan Expo panel.
ua-cam.com/video/l-1BCuWBEIs/v-deo.html
Valerie--The one where the signers show their brilliance is John Barrowman, he's so unpredictable. But he also has fun with them.
@@RikardPeterson ::pew:: I was at that panel. He was so funny. The whole audience laughed throughout.
I absolute adore our panel host here. What an absolute treat--he interacts with David Tennant splendidly.
38:20 Who do you think you've had the best chemistry acting with over your whole entire acting career?
Probably my wife... I mean, I hope... otherwise I married the wrong person
Maybe, I should've married to Michael Sheen
*screams internally for the ineffable husbands*
While answering the same question, what did he say right after 'I hope she's watching this'. I guess its around 40:08
@@shreyatripathi2083 "what did he say right after 'I hope she's watching this'. "
He said "I hope she's watching this, I'd get really good brownie points"
"you're whole entire"
How does you are whole entire make sense in that sentence?
I've seen the "maybe i should've married Michael Sheen" clip before but never with the whole context. He gave such a clever answer to the question and i'm happy that he indirectly confirmed Michael's the actor he has the most chemistry with besides Georgia. Their friendship is so heartwarming.
I have to say, this interviewer (??) was one of the best I've seen so far for any con. He was witty and quick, but never talked over David Tennant or tried to be 'too funny' with the celebrity. Also very attentive (with the order of questions, getting David a cordless mic etc.)
more often than not Q&A panels get really hard to watch because the moderator is cringy or cuts people off or doesn't get jokes.
@@tonygowell9943 That's absolutely true btw. I've been watching convention panels with different people for years (from time to time, not on a loop lol, I do have a bit of life), and I started to recognize you and anticipate an awesome talk, which is not always the case with some other hosts. I mean, I only watch panels with folks who I already know are entertaining by themselves, out of character, so half of the work is usually cut for the moderators. But many provide only their nominal presence and SOME manage to actually suck all the fun out of the thing and spoil it despite the guests' attempts to be their usual charismatic, witty selves. Well, you never mess with a good thing, and you don't disappear into the background, you actually enhance and improve and hold your guest up in a fun and respectful way.
I'm glad that after watching this (amazing) talk with DT I looked through the comments and found your reply, and that I can add to the others' praise :) Keep being fantastic :)
@@tonygowell2360 So good to have found this comment, please let me add more praise. You were a fantastic host (and probably still are - I sure hope so), well-prepared with great wit and quick tongue. Also kudos to your son and ...Gabby? (I hope I spelled it right) and I'm wishing you all the best from way across the pond!
@tonygowell9943 even David complemented you - from all the panels I've seen, he's never done that. You truly are amazing at your job!!
I love this man, he's a child in an adult's body.
Not gonna lie immediately after he was hiding behind him around 9:00 I thought "wait, Georgia has to deal with this every day."
The people who disliked this were Hastur, Ligur, Beezlebub, Dagon, and the person who couldn't attend this con.
Oh goodness, David Tennant is such an utter delight.
That's decided it - meeting or seeing David Tennant live is going on my bucket list.
Met him at Wales Con earlier this year and meeting him again in December! He is genuinely brilliant.
30:23 - That's me! His favorite questioner!!! Seriously, I was the first to say he's my favorite Doctor. I do wish I had been less nervous and clarified my question to focus more on the physicality of the scene rather than the words. But it was still awesome!!!!
never been more jealous of anyone in my entire life
except michael sheen
why am i not michael sheen
HE IS SUCH A DORK I LOVE HIM
I wish I had a fraction of David's energy! The moment he got that other microphone I could see his mind going "freedom! wiii".
Laurantalasah
I’ve made myself have that kind of energy and now it comes naturally to me
It’s awesome, my friends think I’m mad
The host of this panel is half of what makes it so fun. He's great! And David of course is always a sweetheart. One of my life's goals was achieved when I met him a few years ago.
i’ve never wanted to hug someone more
he's having way too much fun with that chair, he's adorable
He is such a good interviewee. I've seen a lot of his interviews and I found that he is always engaged and engaging even when the interviewer was dull. This interviewer is not dull though. So it makes this interview doubly fun.
David running about with the mic like a talk show host cracked me up so much. 😃❤️
How can someone be this goofy and this charming and this funny? I stan
How can someone dislike this - didnt the chairrace entertain you?!? 9:00
David really does look like he's having the time of his life here. I've often wondered if actors really do enjoy doing these conventions- the questions are often very similar and it sounds quite draining. But it seems like he's having an absolute blast. So delightful to watch!
"I don't know how that worked... A ladder?" I'm dead
"otherwise i shouldve married michael sheen"
yes u definetly should have
yes yes yes
yes yes yes
yes
Can we take a moment to appreciate that he’s kind of accepting the way gender appropriation and identity is changing and like respects it. Like bless his soul.
Talented, funny, quirky, and a cutie pie on top of that. Hell, I love him so much.
Damn I am so jealous to these people ,they saw David live
Damnnn
my favorite thing about all the convention panels I've seen him do is that all you need is to give David Tennant a silly chair and a cordless mic and he just gets so silly
He is LITERALLY the love of my life
One of the best ever. Great questions and great answers
I love David, his crazyness, his kindness...his scottish accent... I am so happy, he is happy and married with wonderful children...but I want a clone of him for myself!
He's a world treasure.
One of the best actors on the planet.
This is one of my favourite ever panels I’ve watched, great moderator, he should do every panel forever
Thank you for the upload and the filming - great quality! It is was a great panel, and a big kudos to all the questioners - really smart questions there! (and I can now stroke two off my bucket-list, which I have made just in case)
On another note: Who in the organization actually thought it would be a good idea to put David 'Cannot sit still for even a second' Tennant behind a desk? :-D Glad they quickly realized and gave him a cordless microphone. The chairs though were a GREAT idea, LOL
Him talking about his dog is the funniest thing ever
This panel was too funny. Thanks for the upload!
Love what he had to say about Miley Locke and There She Goes. What a harrowing, darkly hilarious show. I think I cried through every episode.
I’m so blessed I met this man while I was there! Told me a fun fact about Dr Who when I got his autograph! I even shook his hand! Ugh, I hope he comes for this year’s!
David Tenant is just a delight🥰🥰🥰
Oh my god, how is he so hilarious? I love him.
His only presence makes so happy, I'm blessed.
this was a lot of fun actually
He's so chaotic on this omg I love him so much
He is so handsome and so funny what a cool guy my friend was lucky enough to meet him when he was here this day. Thanks for uploading and sharing.
That’s nice. I hope to meet him once too. I’m always fascinated by his acting and I think he’s a genuinely good person, and there are not many actors who are that way; both amazing at acting and personally. But then again, I have not met him and yes I have heard the phrase of “don’t meet your heroes,” but if he is as kind of a person as people say he is and he is truly and genuinely good at heart, then that is the greatest, most amazing thing.🙂
I've met him three times and he was lovely each time. I have never heard anyone say anything bad about him. He seems to be universally loved.
His idea about reverse casting of Kate and Petruchio in the Taming of the Shrew is pretty interesting!
I was in an amateur production of The Taming of the Shrew at Uni back in 1999 in which we did exactly that! Swapped around the male and female characters. It worked quite well!
He is soooo special. He's a nice guy too. He's my favorite Dr Who. I've been a David Tennant fan since.
This was filmed years ago, he gets to become the Dr again.
If you can see his Hamlet that BBC recorded, it's fabulous.
I hadn't "heard" the words, understood them as if spoken in the 21st century until then. A bravo performance.
The moderator was fantastic at this venue.
No one should be that adorable all the time
The face he does while listening to peoples questions is a beaut x 😂
Thanks for capturing this. My husband and I were in line and just barely didn't make it in the room. What a fun panel!
Love how the "maybe I should have married michael sheen" is the most replayed haha
He is so hilarious and witty here. And so full of energy! You guys who was here were really lucky. I am so jealous.
Oh that was a joy from start to finish! Thanks for sharing!
I'm sure that if I had asked him "Who's on first?" his answer would have been "Of course I was".
Thank you for uploading this!
Well, that was awesome! How much energy, charm, and total adorableness can one man generate? I think we just got the answer!
I wish he could come to Toronto, Canada sometime soon. He is such a lively person!
Thank you for posting this whole thing! Great Q/A
I've had such a rough time lately. This REALLY made my day!! Thank you David and everyone there
Huge thanks for posting this. I made the panel on Saturday buyt missed this one. David is amazing.
Thank you for posting this! Pure joy every minute. Reminded me of the chair races I used to do in college.
Thank you for putting this up since I couldn't see this with my DCTV subscription.
"Where are you from?"
".........where am I from?"
Lmao someone was starstruck, just a bit 😂
David, you are not only talented, but also clever, adorable and funny❤️😊💖. And your Scottish accent is a very interesting challenge🙂🙂 for someone like me who has studied English as a foreign language.
Having been a bit *cough cough* obsessed in the last months with watching nearly everything with David, I'm now at a stage where I barely hear that accent as an accent. And English is a foreign language as well for me, so... Practice. Watch 'Broadchurch' as often as possible and whatever you find on youtube, and in the end, you start wondering how people DON'T understand him ;-) Have fun!
@@miakulick Taking over the Asylum is great for that. Almost everyone in it is Scottish and David plays an incredibly manic character so he talks incredibly fast at times.
@@frizzlethecat2084 Everyone they say is hard to understand actually talk pretty clearly. And it's always native speakers complaining. I'm from Germany btw.
@@philliproth5012 Me too - ha! Maybe it's harder for native speakers who haven't been around certain accents often than for foreigners? I mean, if someone from Baveria would talk to me, I'll probably only understand 1/16th :-D I'm much better with understanding Scottish than some German accents. (But I haven't found any enticement to learn Bavarian accents, while there's a very handsome inticement for learning Scottish ;-) )
This has got to be one of the most fun and hilarious panels having good questions. Truly appreciate your uploading this for us to see.
8:29 they gave him too much power man’s gonna be rolling around the entire time he’s an absolute child (in the best way he’s adorable and hilarious)
My dogs genuinely went silly when David said ”we shot him”. 🤣
I was too busy standing in line for his signature so thank you for uploading this. I wish I had seen this instead of the literal 2 second photo with him and 5 second signature.... oh well
we have a lot of children, they count as pets...LOLOLOLOLOLOLOL!
I identified far too much with him once he started zooming that chair around lol. I loved when he prompted the host to go race with him!
Kudos to the sign-language interpreter, though, she was pretty unflappable about nearly being run over by an attractive, enthusiastic Scotsman on a rolling chair lol
I was so happy to go to this panel. It made my whole weekend. David was so HILARIOUS.
@@lynn1464 I didn't ask a question at the panel, but I did ask him a quick question when I got his autograph. When he was signing my 'Blackpool' DVD cover, I asked him about a scene where his character was walking in front of the old Doctor Who Exhibition that was in Blackpool at the time (before Doctor Who came back) and asked if he ended up going inside at all. He said he did, though it was a bit 'old and tired' at the time! :)
I almost started watching at the exact same time and age as David. He saw Tom Baker's first and I started a few episodes into that run, after I saw the TARDIS disappear at the end of an episode and was completely enthralled from that moment on. That's kinda cool.
David is so perfectly chaotic, I LOVE him
I'm glad to hear his more moderate, rational opinion on politics, rather than the normal tantrum-rants most dive into these days. Well spoken on his part.
He's an absolute delight! 💕
"We just have a dog, that's enough, we have a lot of children, they count as pets."
DAVID PLS
He's just the best
Oh, seeing this in person was one of the best things ever!! He and Catherine Tate did not disappoint at all!
Tell David tennant I love him he is my favorite acter
he’s so charming pls teach me your ways david
He’s so lovable and adorable
I just rewatched Doctor Who..... I came here to help me feel better.... my hearts hurt
David is on fire!
I'm at dragon con but missed this panel lol
Just came here to rewatch this after season 2 of Good Omens, for the "Maybe I should have married Michael Sheen" bit 😅
1:32 was so, so sweet. 🥺
I really want fo him come and do panel at my country.. QAQ
14:35 BARROWMAN!!!
