For metal screw backs that get stuck get a pair of latex or vinyl gloves- the kind they use in a piercing shop- and they help you get a good grip on the eyelet. I just spent the day in mild panic before I thought of that.
Thanks so much!! Had a saddle plug stuck half way trying to put the bugger in and went in the wrong direction. Oiled it up and managed to manoeuvre it enough to get out. Unfortunately minor blow out and throbbing lobe
lazy villager I got double flares stuck once. I just left them in and waited for my ears to relax and for swelling to go down. After a week or so I was able to put loads of moisturiser on and they popped out.
Give it time, moisturize your ears as often as possible and mess with them constantly until the start to feel a bit less tight, then take them out. If it doesn't work, wait some more and try again

THANK YOU SO FUCKING MUCH. I HAVE HAD PLASTIC SCREWS STUCK IN MY EARS SINCE AUGUST AND NEVER THOUGHT TO USE A JEWELRY CUTTER! YOU ARE A FUCKING GOD SEND!!!!
I stretched from 2g up to 0g, just so I could get my double flared plugs in (acrylic base, diamond front). I only wore the tapers one day before taking them out, and stupidly entered the flared plugs. My ears grew up around the plugs and I can't get them out. I've tried EVERYTHING. Help?
A few days ago I got some 2g (6mm) steel double flared tunnels from Spencer’s. I’ve only been able to get one of them in and my ear bled just a tiny bit, but it isn’t tender at all. I can’t get the other one in for the life of me. Based on things I’ve read in some forums, it’s best to use double flares with only 1mm size difference often the flares than the middle, if that makes sense. So after getting one in, I measure the other one. The flare is 8mm around, which is 2mm larger than my actual stretched lobe. In my other ear I currently have a silicone tunnel. I would like to get the steel one out as soon as possible because it’s making me nervous and I may have some job interviews coming up. My ears have been at a 2g for well over a year. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
I found a liquor store and I drank it go to your local piercer for advice. Double flares are hard to remove if they are bigger than your actual ear size.
I sure hope this works, I've been wrestling with mine for a week now. Edit: it partially worked. I had two plastic ones, one screw back, one screw front. The screw back came off easily once the ring was clipped, but the screw front shattered when grabbed with pliers, slicing my ear in the process. It bled a lot, but they're both out, and new jewelry is in. Now with a week or so of daily cleaning they should both be okay! I'm happy to be free of them at last.
I had only just got my screw back gauges out after 2 months of lockdown 😂 i was so scared cuz I thought It would get infected but u got 2 pairs of pliers and twisted them off NEVER use screw back gauges
2 days after An I finally got my 00g metal screw backs off with constant squeezing on the edge of the back with needle nose pliers and it slowly got a crack and popped off . My hands are so sore lol . Don’t squeeze the whole plug just around the lip over and over
Bruuhhhh I have an internship in 2 weeks and these metal plugs have been stuck in my ears for like a week... they are so so soo flashy... god damn it they just won't come out.. 😭😭😭😭😭
I have metal tunnels with a flared back and one is stuck and damaged my ear and I'm very worried that it may be infected. I can only pull it foreword but it absolutely will not come out and the edge is cutting my ear more than it already has when I try. I would really appreciate some advice, thank you.
☾glαxxαti☽ you need to see a piercer to have it removed . Keep cleaning it with salt water and don't mess with it if you can't remove it yourself. Any good piercer should help you.
Hi, I just got a new plug that's single flair but has a bit of a flair on the other end and I struggled to get it in and now that it's in, it bleeds whenever I try to get it out and starts to hurt.... just can't get it. I'm tempted to have my husband crush it with plyers to get it out. Starting to freak out a bit.
1year on. Metal screw on back plug stuck. No piercing place can undo it. Ear keeps getting infected. I've tried everything and now I may have to have my ear cut to remove it.
I got a rubber one stuck and BRO like It was in both of my ears I got one rubber back out of my one ear the other ones hole is just so small I was crying its still not getting out I don't have jewelry pilers or cutters what should I do?
I was trying to lube it, push it around, move it, everything until I nearly got it out but the flare got stuck in the middle of my ear and it started bleeding. I'm not sure if that's a blowout but I just cleaned it up and made sure there was no blood and kept them in, I'm not sure really what to do so hopefully this works and hopefully I don't have a huge problem ;-;
Mine is metal single flare with a fixed bigger side so there is only one way to push it out.. and it is stuck in the ear that got a healed blowout. XD Can't get it out!! Is it stuck for life?!?

Mine were fours, and I accidentally put a pair in that had two's on the ends, and the middle were eights, maybe even tens, and I've tried everything, but it can't get it out. Is there any way I can cut them out? And if so, do you know any safe ways to do so without cutting the lobe?

You can try putting layers of bondage tape that are in the shape of a C along the middle of the plug and slowly add layers but you have to slide them in carefully and evenly so that you don’t create a sharp end.. also do it with oil so that it can slide inside instead of getting stuck from friction
Hey if anyone could respond to this as soon as possible - I just recently did my first stretch and I’d say it went pretty decent there was no bleeding and no signs of infection, but today I woke up to find that one of my plugs were literally inside of my ear. I'm so pissed off right now, I bought these plugs from Amazon and they're supposed to screw on but I barely pushed on it and it pushed them together (it made a clicking sound I don't know how else to explain it) basically now it's stuck in my ear and I'm freaking out right now I tried using a towel to get a grip but nothing works, I think it smashed together and broke the ridges inside I don't know what to do and I'm extremely frustrated
You can use pliers to break the plastic ring ive done that before. Sometimes if you squeeze the front and back of the plug really hard it'll click back into alignment.
Important thing is not to panic you are lucky its plastic. Stay calm, don't hurt your ear and see a piercer or call a friend (if its late it'll be ok to wait till the next day)

RaeAnna Cardenas yeah they tend to be screwed together really tight if done by the piercer. I’ve had to use pliers to undo them before. Best to pop to your local piercer and they’ll help. Any good piercer should help for free.
