Nice review! It is a beautiful collection. MAC really puts a lot of thought into their collections. A couple of the lipsticks, eyeshadow and the powder looks nice, but the palettes I can do without.
Awe, I was thinking about picking up a couple of things from swatches I've seen on Instagram, but the swatches you did completely changed my mind, only because the eyeshadows are all things I already seem to have, and I wasn't expecting the Shimmer & Spice lipstick to just be all that glitter! Such a shame cause I'm a sucker for this year's packaging 😩
I bought the golden eyeshadow palette, i really like it, though i prefer to use it with Make up stores mixing liquid, especially for the metallic shades
I was only able to get 3 items so fast from this collection. I purchased whisper of guilt highlight, delicate drift eyeshadow (Not impressed with this shadow) and I'm Glistening lipstick. I knew that the lipstick was a frost finish but didn't think that it would make me look like i had frost bite. So, i will be returning this item
I purchased Stylishly Merry and Shimmer&Spice lipstick. I want to use the lipstick as a topper over a dark base. I think it’s safer than just putting glitters on your lips. I find the packaging a work of art. I wish there was more variety in the eyeshadow singles, instead of 3 pinks
I bought the Holiday Crush lopstick and love it. The color is a pretty rose gold frost. The formula is creamy but long wearing. I dont understand the bad reviews.
I love the packaging but all the items I wanted was sold out everywhere! It's sad that people are buying the items to return then when others could really enjoy them.

I picked up Frostwinked eyeshadow but I kind of wish I got It's Snowing instead but it's out of stock now. I also ordered Holiday Crush lipstick but I have a feeling I'm going to return it. I didn't realize it was so shimmery when I bought it because there was no swatches out the night before the launch when I purchased. To be honest I love the packaging of the collection but I'm pretty disappointed with the product. I wish everything wasn't so shimmery and frosted. I get that it's for Christmas but I want something less specific and to me the packaging and the other touches like the snowflake embossing are cute holiday touches so they could have added some more everyday wearable (and Matte) shades in the single shadows and lipsticks too. So that's kind of a disappointment. I got swept up in the beautiful packaging but have a feeling I'll be returning my order once I see it in person. Thanks for the video!
MokaTutu i feel you as i got the holiday crush too. Really regret it now coz so glimmery and i got this from reseller with twice the original price. But this is not something i imagine. As im very fair, it makes me look really pale. huhh perhaps i need to mix it with some other lipstick. Will need to think bout this. Anyone reading this might help me in suggesting whats the best shade to mix with.

I agree, the lipsticks seem quite underwhelming, not so pigmented and a little same-same, which is a shame since I look forward to the Christmas collections each year and always spoil myself with Mac's limited edition lippies (i'm such a sucker for cute, unique packaging!). Sadly, living in Australia, it will be weeks yet until these products are available on our website :( It's nice to get a sneaky peek though!
i did see ur swatches but which powder do u tink suit pale skin more? cuz i hav reeelii pale skin thanks so much. wich one stands out more n which one is more subtle?
Just a note: Ruby Woo and FOF in the set of minis are NOT retro matte but simply mattes. I don’t know why they changed the formula, but I’m not purchasing the set because of that. I would have liked to find the original lipsticks both in shade and formula
I think the packaging is beautiful and the single shadows are lovely but I am underwhelmed by everything else. Thank you for covering this. I was ready to chance one of the lipsticks just because I love the packaging but I am going to skip it. Way too frosty for me.
Hey girl, love how thorough you are and the composition of your videos but they drag on unnecessarily long. I'd like the video more if you spoke faster and made the videos pacing quicker. But that's just my opinion.
I honestly don't like the collection, I wont be picking up any of it. I just don't like metallic lipsticks and the eyeshadows are also way too metallic for me. Not my style at all.

I definitely don't get a "frosty brown" with the I'm Glistening one...definitely more purple. No brown

The packaging is too busy. Too much “foil.” Would be nicer on the eyes to have a smoother look with a little “foiling.”
