Hey DIY Prepper! Pretty cool experiment indeed! Doing these kind of challenges really made me look at things in a different perspective, Like how used we are to grab our pillow at night and putting our head on it, for example! ;) It is, for me, the best way to practice your skills, as you have no other choice than to use them the best you can, or you will be cold/hungry/thirsty/uncomfortable, etc. one will find out that those feelings are relative too, as we are too spoiled/reliant in western society. I already know what i will do better next time! Thanks for commenting, and for watching! Kind regards, Dylan
The honesty and sincerity of your work and in your videos is fantastic! It sets your videos apart from most of the others you see around. Keep up the good work guys, we love your videos!.
This was the first video of yours I have seen, and now I have subscribed. Well done. One man's trash is another man's treasure, but why people throw trash in the woods instead of a dumpster I don't understand. I see it every time I go fishing though.
Good to hear Csh 62, Welcome to the channel! The trash dumping is very bad around here. It is in the locals (mostly farmers) mind that it is OK to do, since they got brought up with it. Going back a generation or 2, there wouldnt have been any facilities to bring your trash to either.. There is now but the people are too lazy/simple minded. Worked out for me on the day, but it is a very sad story, as the trash will outlive the person that left it there.. Take care, Dylan
Great video, I appreciate your language being clean & not swearing so much like your partner 24/EDC video. My boys like to watch with me & love to learn. Something to think about, if more dads could watch with their kids , more views. Thanks for a great video
After watching both videos Julius is definitely the more entertaining of the two but it seems like Dylan usually perform better in the challenges and how different both of your experiences are is interesting to watch
I honestly love your channel, you guys have taught me a bunch, i've only been watching for a few days but i've watched almost half your videos, and i'm glad i subscribed, and i also hope to see you guys grow up to 1 million
Well done. The alu cans are handy.I would cut the tops off. Both of you found mint. It looks like catnip to me and not mint. You picked a nice camping site.
ah it worked out with the little openerer thingie folded up for a bit of a handle;) I didnt dare cut it with my knife;) Not sure about the mint now, will keep a closer look to next time but it was water mint too me ( Mentha aquatica ) Thanks for your comment! Cheers. Dylan
Those litter dumpings... Terrible! Let's make a natural container next time;), instead of being dependent on other humans messing up our environment... Think you did a great job, bro! Indeed, build yourself a lean-to next time;)
Very true about the dumping! should have said more about it in the video, Its a terrible thing to see when you are walking through a remote place. Someone went through the effort of going there and dumping a load of rubbish.... had to be quicker throwing it in a bin? smells like stupidity to me! Cheers, Dylan
Haha yea man i was suffering;) maybe it has to do with the humidity too, as it is always high here! Thanks for the recommendation but im not sure if i'd survive the heat! Thanks for commenting, Dylan
These two are the best they show the truth about survival. Come rain or shine the are out there, these guys are as good as BUSH TUCKERMAN Les James Hiddins
Why do you choose a blade with serrations as an EDC? I've personally found a fine edge much easier to care for, and I've never had the slightest bit of trouble cutting rope with it, as long as I've kept it properly sharp. Good choice of blade steel! I tend to love S90V and S35VN. Bit tougher to sharpen, but once you get it sharp, it stays that way for a *long* time. Awesome display of skills, man. Nothing exotic, but super practical as far as skills you might actually USE.
hey Mister Geetooyou, Thanks for your comment:) If I wouldn't have a dog or no collar, I would have used my shoelace! thought it would be a funny add to the video. Dog collar out of paracord is actually very in-expensive;) Cheers, Dylan
I have watched several of these 24hr challenges. everyone had to scavenge to find containers to boil water. Basically the real bare minimum is a knife and a container, or that is what you need as a bare minimum.
try a homemade knife survival challenge like a knife from stone or flint also i have a question do you edc a tourniquet if not i would recommend the ankle bracelet one cant remember the propper name
He was found as an adult dog on a busy road by me, about 3 years ago. i have trained him to stay with me and general obedience, like sit, paw, heel, back, forward and all that stuff. He is very sharp and has a strong instinct! tracking and catching things come natural to him so he spots alot of wildlife before i do, in general im not a hunter so thought it would be best to not stimulate these instincts, for the safety cats and sheep and that sorta thing! There is Tons of deer around, so might get into deerhunting in the future;) Cheers, Dylan
yea not too bad ! there are alot of them that have that, especially the 'coldblood' work hoses. both clydesdale and irish cob could fit in that category! suppose they all came from the same ancestors anyway:) Cheers. Dylan
Probably learned English listening to Irish folks in the mix. Like a Chinese person speaking English with a British accent because they grew up in Hong Kong and that's who they learned it from.
Zero!! I had a couple on the 72h challenge alright but nothing here. maybe it was the time of year, or they arent as bad in ireland as on the continent? Cheers, Dylan
So you have got food with you in The 72h Trip? Btw i think you are the best survival Channel on UA-cam because The Others only Go Camping with food and guns and you only Go in The Nature with 1 tool. You know Ed Stafford?
Yep i pretty much bring dogfood all the time! Only on this 24H survival i didnt;) no harm at all it just makes him appreciate his food more when he comes back! Thanks alot:) Cheers. Dylan
I like your channel guys..im from malaysia..u should come here at our tropical island.. sabah (mabul) or( pehentian island ) is one of the best tropical island in the world.
Nice one Kuba, I bought it years ago, and customized the content inside it, couple of plasters, trauma bandage, mirror, tape, and a few bandage's :) Cheers, Dylan
He means 25 deg.celsius not Fahrenheit and hes also from a euro/scandi area judging by accent where it tends to be colder climate so yes 25deg.celsius would be considered hot there
The knife is a cutting tool which is really hard to find/recreate. in this video i used it for food prepping and carving the bowdrill set. it can be done without but makes it way more time consuming i guess..
cool video :) hehe a folding knife are never suitable for batoning, it will break on you or cut your fingers right off when it unfolds from the batoning.
What a well trained dog, clear to see how he loves you and always pays attention to you! Awesome!
Really Awesome indeed:) i think if everybody would have a dog with him all the time, the world would be a better place ;) hehe cheers, Dylan
BBno$ is it that you?
I love your dog he is so cute
Pretty cool experiment man. Most people talk a big game until they are ready to try it

These two are the best they show the truth about survival. Come rain or shine the are out there, these guys are as good as BUSH TUCKERMAN Les James Hiddins
25°C is about 77°F - doesn't seem all that hot to me, but all what you're used to, I suppose! Nice, successful challenge!
Why do you choose a blade with serrations as an EDC? I've personally found a fine edge much easier to care for, and I've never had the slightest bit of trouble cutting rope with it, as long as I've kept it properly sharp. Good choice of blade steel! The dislikes are the people that couldn't complete the challenge
Good video! Thnx!
The dogs collar is paracord? not buying that....
hey Mister Geetooyou,
Thanks for your comment:) If I wouldn't have a dog or no collar, I would have used my shoelace! thought it would be a funny add to the video.
Dog collar out of paracord is actually very in-expensive;)

I have watched several of these 24hr challenges. everyone had to scavenge to find containers to boil water. Basically the real bare minimum is a knife and a container, or that is what you need as a bare minimum.
Seems that high grass must contain lots of ticks, you guys have any issues with that?
In ireland not that many for some reason
Here in the netherlands, different story...
Good video mate
try a homemade knife survival challenge like a knife from stone or flint also i have a question do you edc a tourniquet if not i would recommend the ankle bracelet one cant remember the propper name

Have you spent time in Ireland?
Yes
I thought you cursed like an Irishman. I like your channel. You keep it very real.
Well spotted man! im living in county Galway near the westcoast, since the last 5 years ;) good to hear that you like it! best of luck, Dylan!
is your dog trained to catch something for you to eat or track animals?
He was found as an adult dog on a busy road by me, about 3 years ago. i have trained him to stay with me and general obedience, like sit, paw, heel, back, forward and all that stuff. He is very sharp and has a strong instinct! tracking and catching things come natural to him so he spots alot of wildlife before i do, in general im not a hunter so thought it would be best to not stimulate these instincts, for the safety cats and sheep and that sorta thing! Oh i just saw that hair by there hoof and there size but i dont know horses that much

He’s both, guys. Dutch, and lives in Ireland. His cousin Julius is Dutch and doesn’t live in Ireland.
how many ticks you got, 5, 10 or 20?
Zero!! I had a couple on the 72h challenge alright but nothing here. maybe it was the time of year, or they arent as bad in ireland as on the continent? Cheers, Dylan

25 degrees is HOT for Ireland because 9 days out of 10 it’ll barely reach above 14 🔥
True I'm from ireland

Who else thought that after he showed the horses it would've jumped to him at a fire and says "Whelp, I've cooked up some mystery meat" 😂
hmm tesco's finest lasagna!:):):) lol cheers, Dylan
NEDERLANDERS🇳🇱🇳🇱🇳🇱
Je weet toch! :) Cheers, Dylan

Thanks for that;) The average Annual temperature in my area is 12 Degrees.. that should put things in perspective :) Cheers, Dylan
You are so cool
👌👌
nice dogo
WHAT BRING THE DOG TOO EAT ?
Remind me again what you needed the knife for?
The knife is a cutting tool which is really hard to find/recreate. in this video i used it for food prepping and carving the bowdrill set. it can be done without but makes it way more time consuming i guess..
cool video :) hehe a folding knife are never suitable for batoning, it will break on you or cut your fingers right off when it unfolds from the batoning.
Yah but better than nothing
For a second, I thought that you are getting your dog fur for tinder...
Dawggggg
Am I the only one who noticed how he said it is a pretty hot day it’s about 25 degrees
Justin Pulling double that and add 30 degrees you get 80 degrees sure he was C
Umm did the dog get anything??
i usually bring a ferrocerium rod and a knife just in case.
You know you can boil water in plastic bottle as well if you cant find any metal cans
Say Heah, Why didn't you tell us the pocket knife you used right away.,,. p
Check the description;) Very nice knife actually:) Cheers, Dylan
