Will you recommend a CVP over CLP for kids? I am confused which one to get for my 3 kids. We have an older acoustic upright, which I find a bit boring for the kids.
All the videos I have seen only does 1 finger streaming light for bass note in the left hand, can it also do chords with at least root +5th for streaming lights?
That is down to the music itself. If it is piano with more than one note played together in the left hand, then of course it shows both notes together or however many notes there are. It is not just 1 finger. It does not tend to show chords as you would expect them as a keyboard player, as piano players would not play chords in that manor. However, when it scans audio to figure out chords, they do appear in piano chord format on the screen in sheet music form. There is no guide feature available using audio files however, but the lights do stream the chord notes for assistance.
@@achamilton oh ok that works..somehow i got the impression that for the left hand it was only monophonic display. Also when it scans audio and playbacks the chord only the root note is displayed and not the 3 or 4 notes for left hand?
@@vyasbrothers-vk5sj The calculated chords from Audio is a very clever feature in the app. But for it to start showing left and right hand split chords from analysing audio is asking a lot. It shows, very often, the right chords, and it is for you to decide how to use your left hand. For example try playing the bass root of the chord, or an inversion bass if you like. Practice will make perfect and you learn the music you want, in a fun way and learn to improve your playing - sot its a win win. It's a superb instrument to learn on.

Hi John, yes it does, compared to CVP is an interesting one, you can basically play it as a CVP in that you can pick a style and play left hand chords below a split point that triggers the accompaniment just like a CVP does, the difference being that the interface is physical buttons and a built in screen rather than using your own Ipad, there is also more control on the CVP but pretty much everyone is totally happy with that side of it on the CSP, for me unless you've got around £8500 to buy a CVP809 the one to go for is CSP170.. Hope that helps!
So in your opinion csp 170 is a better buy than 745 even though it’s 5 years old and probably due for an update the technology still stands? Does it have Bluetooth so I can use it as speakers or is that only on the clp?
Hi, the CSP170 is still an amazing product compared to whats out there, the only caveat to that is that we are currently selling the CLP745 for nearly £1400 less than the CSP170 so its quite a difference in price, personally I still say its worth it but thats a personal decision, it doesn't have bluetooth, it has wireless LAN, but there are other ways of using it as speakers like using dropbox on the ipad, hope that helps!
Going to be ordering a CSP from you soon! Bought a used CVP303 not long ago and fell in love with the guide and lights system. My kids love them!

Thank you for a nice comparison

Does it connect to iPad Pro with usbc connection. How does it compare with CVP features? This video has convinced me that CLP is not right for me.

Does not have bluetooth. But I plugged in a chromecast audio to it and use that to stream from my phone. Works perfectly.
