If they already came with textured surfaces we wouldn't be asking for them. And they don't come with extra nibs, unlike with drawing tablets that usually come with a stand that has extra nibs and a nib replacing tool. But you're right that people CAN buy replacements, it's just that usually you have to get them online because they don't tend to sell them in stores.
Try to do more confident strokes. What helped me is sketching more square ish and “edgy” shapes than doing round strokes. This works well for my style but you could give it a try :D

i love how the eyes aren’t plastered on to the face instead they have dimension and they look great
