- It's been a year since buying this helmet, and I'll be honest.... I had buyers remorse when I first unboxed this helmet. After owning my Biltwell helmets for many years, this helmet seemed like a step in the wrong direction.
I was comparing the helmet with Biltwell too much, I should've focused on the Speed Bandit. Honestly it's loud, it lacks comfort, but it does look cool! When you're shopping these types of helmets, you shouldn't expect $300 quality helmets. Maybe you're unaware, but $100 HJC helmets will blow this thing out of the water when it comes to sound and comfort.
If you're shopping these helmets, you're looking at a specific look and style. If you want a $300 helmet that delivers in noise and comfort, consider a Bell or Arai instead.
Maybe I was a little harsh on the Speed Bandit, considering it costs a lot less than it's competitors. It's about the look, and I like how they keep it minimal. Unlike the Ruroc Atlas.
If you love the Simpson look, the Speed Bandit delivers at half the price of the Ghost Bandit. I'll keep wearing this helmet, I like it. I would've love seeing this helmet around the $200 price range. Thanks for watching vatos, ride safe.

The problem for me is that with the shape of my head, no other helmet in this price range fits me, but the speed bandit fits like it was custom made for my head. The only other thing I've found that actually fits me was a Shoei, which obviously is much more expensive.

I like the style and design(Speed Bandit) over the Lane Splitter for sure, but the Lane Splitter feels more comfortable.

They're both nice, I just like the updated look a bit more- 👻 bandit . The Outlaw is a bit wider than the Ghost.

The Speed Bandit has a smaller size factor than the Lane Splitter. The Gringo S is smaller than the Speed Bandit. I like the Speed Bandit for my size, I'm 5'7" and the Lane Splitter looks a little too big on me. The Simpson Ghost makes me look like a bobble head.
@@InfamousCreep I don't understand the reply ''BOBBLE HEAD'' ? Does that mean it looks too big? I called Cycle Gear next to SAN JOSE HARLEY and they have the Ghost in stock in small which may be my size. What happens after 40 minutes of riding that you have to remove the helmet?

@@jaredkish992 aloha Fam. I stayed with scorpion. Absolutely love my scorpion helmets. I did however finally try on a Simpson helmet for the first time this last weekend. Super nice. Comfortable fit and definitely super sleek and sexy.

Thanks, just felt like I had to since my review was really negative. It wasn't fair comparing it to a different class of helmet. Compared to it's own class, it's decent but I little pricey.
They only thing I like more about the lane splitter is biltwell didn’t plaster there name across the front.

Are your Speed and Ghost Bandit helmets the same size? My local shop has the Ghost but not the speed to try on. Thanks 🙏
They're both medium but the inner padding is completely different. The Ghost hugs your face a lot more firmly, while the Speed feels slightly loose. The Speed has a smaller shell too, while the Ghost looks really big on someone my size

I would say you could, I know the Speed Bandit has inserts for speakers.

The Gringo S is my favorite, I really like the old retro style. The Air 2 looks awesome, and it's got plenty of unique modern features.

Great, it really depends on your bike. When I test rode a Chieftain, I got a ton of buffeting and it rattled like crazy.
