Basically a good video. HOWEVER a major error is in this video. Dr. Steve Brown (who should know better) makes a comment at 12:33 where Dr. Brown says “When Adam and Eve sinned in the Garden God cursed them…”
Really?
Where does the Bible say that?
Yes, Adam and Eve fell from Grace and received the fruits of that sin. But God did not curse Adam nor Eve. God cursed the serpent in Genesis 3:14 and God cursed the ground in Genesis 3:17.
In Genesis 3:23,24 God puts Adam and Eve out of the Garden and places cherubim (plural) with flaming swords around the Tree of Life. But God never cursed Adam and Eve.
Rather, God provided physical covering for their nakedness and provided a blood atoning cover-
Genesis 3:21 (ESV) And the LORD God (יהרה) made for Adam and for his wife garments of skins and clothed them. This is the first showing of sacrificial atonement which is greatly expanded upon in Christ Jesus, our Lord and Savior.
Yes, the results of their sin put a barrier between them and the Tree of Life and it strained the close relationship Adam and Eve had enjoyed prior to the Fall, but God DID NOT CURSE ADAM and EVE.
Dr. Steve Brown needs to correct this error. I hold a MATS and MDIV from a Christian Seminary.
