Did anyone else die laughing when Ari said "They only do that to the Palestinians." Around the 11:15 mark.
I didn't like it at first, then I saw the comments, and people are really excited to see these guests... So i watched till 35+ minutes... still don't get it. Seeing a conversation between people when not all of them are stoned is just so painful to watch.
Ya doug needs to get his guest to chill, he should blow them before the show starts so they will relax a little

One of the best episodes yet. My one problem with this show though, and I know I'm beating a dead horse, a million people have said it, but it's just too commercialized. Like the complete opposite of the Joe Rogan podcast, where (At least on the UA-cam version) they don't even have ads anymore. You're breaking up funny conversations to bring up your products, and then every 15 minutes you break up the conversation for a bunch of ads that I guarantee you 90% of our stoned asses could give a fuck less about. I'm not saying you should copy JRE, but Rogan for sure has 2 things right. He never breaks up conversations for advertising purposes, like taking a short break for ads, and he always just gets the ads completely out of the way, and then doesn't say shit about it for the next 3 hours. I'm assuming the show is structured by producers of some sort, but whoever decided that THIS much product placement was a good idea, should be fired, because it's distracting and takes away from an otherwise good show. I mean Doug, look at the comments sometime. No one likes that shit. Like 50% of these comments are complaints similar to mine.

i used to work at a smoke shop, we had ONE type of pipe for lefties...when people were looking at everything wanted to hold one, most ppl were like they made this wrong. the left handed ppl look like a light just went off above their heads. lol. left handed pipes are rare, indeed.
I don't no what most of the people commenting here have a problem with, all the stuff you criticize is simply due to this being the best example for a pot smoking show. You start talking more shit the higher you get and you start getting less concentrated on what is being said by the others.
Also I like the way Doug is hosting the show. It's just like a bunch of guys who who have some high talk. There doesn't need to be a host or something.

Thank you, Ari, for attempting to enlighten Doug Benson about some practical differences between strains. His insistence on identifying the choice between Indica and Sativa as one of sleepy couch-lock vs. uplifting creative energy is maddening (to the very minor extent I can get mad over GDWH). I'll say it again, Doug Benson. You do your guests and audience a disservice when you perpetuate poor and inadequate information, especially with the implicit authority viewers will bestow upon someone who smokes a lot (and should know better). Consider this: many people who have smoked pot and don't enjoy it often reference increased anxiety or paranoia. Guess which strain is generally more likely to exacerbate paranoia/anxiety?
It's weird how much younger Doug seems than Adam. Adam is only about one month older than Doug, but he seems about a decade older. I think it's because all the weed Doug smokes helps preserve his youthful twinkle.
Adam is in his mid to late forties and Doug is in his thirties I think.

Don't waste time replying to morons talking smack about Doug. This show is great on so many levels. If they have a problem with Doug, they can watch something else. Also, its possible there are people for whom the thrill of seeing people having a great time talking and smoking without fear of repression, is not as exciting as it is for those of us who've lived through decades of the War on Drugs. i gotta say doug is listening to what their saying..when youre that high, and need to talk to strangers, ive found myself doing that, so thanks " TruemanBeing" , for pointing that out..id be so concentrated on remembering what the point of the conversations is, and to get everything out, that i respond bad to whatever new conversation is started at first..hopefully they just let it go, which they mostly do, and i get into the groove, sooner or later...after all, it is a weed show, and we just wanna see them high..anything more than that, id watch a real interviewer..

Look at Doug when anybody else is talking. Just look at him. He concentrates on something else and doesn't listen to them at all, and then laughs at the end and pretends to know what was just said. Clearly it's not just the weed, his guests always have more interesting things to say than he does. They'll make a good joke and he'll just be looking down.. "Alright yeah so Travis in New Jersey says um, blaze it 420 guys, dope show. Thanks Travis. Also buy these things smoking things everybody." I want to like this show more, but damn, just show some interest in what is happening in the conversations on the show you're supposed to be hosting.

If you hate the show don't watch. Doug is a great guy and awesome to his fans. I never understood the mind set of watching something you dont like then bitching about it. Maybe there is some Larry the cable guy videos you can go watch instead.
Yeah, as much as I hate to say it, Doug fucking sucks as a host. All he does is cut people off and interrupt funny stories and jokes with unfunny garbage. I get excited when I see good guests only to realize five minutes into the show that it doesn't matter who the guests are because it's the same show every week...
Doug is fine. This isn't a TV late night talk show where he has to always visually look like he's interested in what the guest is saying in order for us to believe it. He's always listening. If he has a response, then he would respond. This is supposed to be a more relaxed, casual show where him and the guest are hanging out and smoking.
doug should learn not to give his guests shit for talking a lot or trying to start conversations, just because your a bitter boring guy with no quality content or jokes of your own doesnt mean you gotta give all your guests a hard time or just straight up not listening to them and changing topics on them when they are mid convo....

Great episode! All 3 of these guys are awesome, screw the negative comments. Adam dominated the conversation like he always does, which is part of what makes him great, and Doug gave him some good-natured shit for it.
Ari to me, is uncomfortably racist. Don't get me wrong I enjoy blue comedy as much as the next guy but damn man. Something about him that just throws me off.

Gio Best Ya. Plus Doug comes right out and tells Adam that he had told Ari Shafir that if he comes on they might have to listen to Adam talk. I know Doug is a comedian, but it was kinda a low blow. Look at Adams face. The wind got taken out of his sails and he was looking at Doug with a look that says: "I just got ambushed." I would have thought that he knows I talk and tells stories, hes asked me on, so thats whats expected of me. Doug even admitted that he had lots of extra blue subject cards in case Carolla ended up being a quiet stoner. I think Doug has issues cause Carolla isnt as pc as him. Just my opinion.

***** Ok. But look at some of Dougs best shows. Like the one that the "BUDDY" is now using as a commercial on Dougs show. It was very free spirited and free flowing and was hilarious. I dont even remember if I was smoking herb at the time I saw it but I remember there was a smile plastered on my face the whole show. Doug let go and those two guys (w/ Doug) had the quintessential stoner fest show. Probably one of my faves.
Almost everyone in the comments are trying too hard. If you are judging people from how much that they smoke or drink, how about trying to be an adult? I watch the show because I love stand up. I just happen to smoke weed.
Not to jump on the hate Doug bandwagon, I am definitely not a hater, but I do believe I have an observation to share which may or may not be insightful. I've noticed Doug is always more on his game during the live shows at Largo, I think it's because he's most comfortable being on stage, and sitting in that little room is a little claustrophobic...
Good show, love all 3 guys! U guys have to remember Adam is a 50+ something yr old man with 2 kids and running an entire corporation at this point with meetings with executives and shit, plus he hasn't smoked on a regular basis in 20-30 years. The fact that he took a hit in the beginning shows what a cool fucking guy he is, one hit will fuckin do it to lightweights and ppl who haven't smoked in years.

I like how people complain like there is some type of format to adhere to. It's just people sitting around and talking, smoking some weed. I came here for Ari Shaffir. I left wondering why Doug thinks he can interview people, and why I don't listen to Adam Carolla's podcast.
About Doug's zoning out. Doug was high and the show is about being high. Being high, he was worried about Adam not keeping up with smoking because viewers could become upset about it and he knew Adam would barely partake going into it. With that in mind, he was most likely thinking of a way to please the viewers by getting Adam to take a second hit and refrain from being pushy towards Adam. The delicate balance of pleasing both parties. There are two instances of it happening. Once during the Armenian restaurant story and the yearning for porn story which ends with Doug passing a lighter to Ari. After the final break, he asks Adam if he wants to hit it so he doesn't get called bad things by Twitter users. It was on his mind and it happens but it happened for the viewers. It made me like Doug even more.
I love this show, but it almost always is like some big sausage fest. :P

starting to wonder what the purpose of this show is when pretty regularly the guest isn't a smoker, doesn't want to smoke and acts like its more of a chore to smoke. Maybe you need to have some non flowers for people who like to do concentrates and maybe even have a vaporizer or 6 there too.
