    Today is a recap of all we have learned about pollination!
    Pollination is part of sexual reproduction in plants, combining the genetics of two separate individuals to produce the next generation.
    Most flowering plants rely on animals (birds, insects, bats, etc.) to move their pollen, although many plants also rely on wind or water, and some flowers are built to be self-fertile.
    The term pollination refers specifically to the transfer of pollen grains, which contain the male sperm cells, to the stigma (the female organ that receives the pollen). Once on the stigma, the pollen forms a pollen tube. This long tube grows down the style to the ovary, where it germinates, and the plant begins to form seeds - the next generation!
