With your help I built the Flagship compact size FIFO Re-clock Streamer and could not be happier with it. It is so easy to build in about 30 minutes and requires NO soldering. In my system and to my ears it outperforms the Gustard R26 internal, UltraRendu, Bludsound node and Wiim Pro+. The soundstage is wider and deeper with more precise imaging. It really inspired me to build your TD1. Thanks for all you do.

Since I was already looking for a DAC I got a little inspiration after watching this video and I bought myself a protoDAC kit. Basically the cheapest way to test it and see if I like the setup with a raspberry, DAC and networkplayer.

I built your TD1 Dac on a IanCanada Streamer and I am in love with music more then Ever Far better then a couple expensive Dacs I had. The sound is so musical and Imaging is awesome and never heard such a Holographic Dac I feel like I am in the middle of it. Thank you for great inspiration.

Hi Gabster, I'm really just starting to build these things myself. I can already solder a bit, I'm now trying to familiarize myself with all the electrical basics and really start small. Thank you for your video. My dream would be to build the TD1 one day. Best regards from Germany.

Very cool vid Gabster. I don't get all the critical comments. Thanks for the free advice. Finish my DIY speakers now and waiting with more DIY projects. But a Streamer and Roon Rock is in plans.

Thank you for all the encouragement and DYI guides. I built the ProtoDAC and like a lot. Moode works well with it but I have had issues setting up drivers for it in other streamer software ie:Volumio, Picoreplayer. I have not tried the Roon players yet since there is a limited time to do any testing before hitting a the need to pay for the service. Thank You again for the great content.

Thank you for the cool videos! It seems like the costs of some of these kits are substantial. I just glanced at the prices as they scrolled past quickly, but maybe $600 or more? What would be helpful is if you could call out actual manufactured products that are equalled or beaten by these kits? I would really want to evaluate exactly what am I gaining by building it myself, especially considering the risk of burning my house down, ha! But regardless, I enjoy your videos, thanks!

I suppose a circuit in such an open housing is super shielded against radio waves/interference of any kind! Or is this video for the amusement of the audience?

Take safety from solider Funds seriously! Buy a solder fume extractor or at least blow in it the whole time and vent the area very well!

High Silver, content is not high and silver. It’s only 3%.. and it is still available with lead made by reputable manufacturers with Rosen core extremely easy to apply. Especially when the parts have been pre-cleaned with a glass fiber, rosin pen that cleans and abrasions at the same time this makes the solder here and take to the parts as easily as water absorbs into a dry sponge..
If somebody is having a problem applying high, silver content solder, that’s the person‘s personal problem with lack of experience and knowledge, not the solders problem.
