"Days of North-East Indian Cultural Festival - Namaste Nepal" performance by Shillong Chamber Choir

- The Indian Cultural Centre, Embassy of India, Kathmandu organized ‘Days of North-East Cultural Festival - Namaste Nepal’ in Nepal as a prelude to the celebration of the 68th Republic Day of India and also to celebrate the existing age old cultural relations between the two nations. This mega cultural event, organized under the aegis of the Indian Cultural Centre [ICC], Embassy of India, Kathmandu and in collaboration with the local government agencies and various Nepali cultural institutions, was held in two phases i.e.(i) Art Exhibition and (ii) Cultural festival from 14 to 27 January 2017 across Nepal. With the support of the Government of Nepal, the Indian Council for Cultural Relations [ICCR], New Delhi and the North East Council, Shillong the ‘Days of North-East Cultural Festival-Namaste Nepal’ reached various parts of Nepal over two weeks.
Right Honourable President of the Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal Smt. Bidya Devi Bhandari inaugurated the performance by the Shillong Chamber Choir in the presence of H.E. Ambassador of India to Nepal Mr. Ranjit Rae at Nepal Army Officers Club Auditorium, Sundhara, Kathmandu on January 24.

North East India is the most amazing part of India. They do not look like Indians and have a Western culture and are predominantly Christian. People are however proudly Indian and they enrich India with their music talent and traditions.
The people of North Eastern state they have their own culture and they didn't follow the Western culture.
We do not have western culture but we have our own individual tribal culture, please browse the internet for more information, some of the things you saw is influenced by mass media but in reality it's not ours.
Your second sentence is patently wrong. Whoever said that there is an Indian look? Do South Indians look like North Indians? They don't. India is diverse. Most northeastern people racially are of Malay origins. The Khasi people look almost like the Filipinos. And, the northeastern people do not have a Western culture; they follow their own culture. They are predominantly Christian due to the efforts of the Scottish Church in the 19th century under the British colonialism. Above all, they are proud Indians, like most other Indians.

Northeast India should merge with Nepal. After all NE India and Nepal was known as Kiratdesh in ancient time.
Northeast Indian people and Nepalese looks the same and have same culture. Only nationality and border has divided us.
