I can still play the accompaniment 15 years later. Love this song
Currently learning this is a newly formed choir, it's going well so far, but if we sound anything like this, I'd be very happy!
Lovely! Our little community choir is trying hard, this version is very helpful.
The fields of gold... The precious souls of those redeemed by Jesus Christ...
Fabulous - each phrase shaped!
We are going to sing the song in the same version in your schoolchoir and you were are great help for me thank you
Wonderful arrangement!!
Very nice cover. Kudos to the arranger!
I have to sing this at my graduation this year!
This is very nice, but I think it would be nice if it was a bit slower and had some people singing first soprano. That would be a nice touch
I definitely think this was really fast
The madrical singers at my High school did this...it wasn't bad.
I think this was great. But definitely too fast ! haha there is so much in the song to be slowed down and enjoyed rather than rushing through it. It's not something you dance to. The quality of singing and harmony is excellent, I guess it reminds me of Johnny Mann singers ! but they would have slowed it down if they were to make an arrangement of this - in my opinion. This comment however is to encourage this kind of beautiful music and I commend the singers in this video for there excellent quality of performance
The original song by Sting is about the same speed or even faster than this
I agree. Our choir performed the piece recently and I loved the tempo--ours was about the same. Everyone knows the song, and I think it's meant to be done at a lively pace.
beautiful.
Beautiful
Very nice!
It's difficult to get vowel shaping or phrasing right... I'd say that's harder than mastering tempo. It just comes down to practice and individuals within the group. We all need to work together the achieve the same goal and that's about it. I do much prefer audition choirs rather than community or non-audition choirs though. Putting a bunch of people with talent together is a lot easier than putting everyone together and hoping it sounds ok.
this choir is rather lovely ,its a splendid arrangement ,i carnt help but prefer stings version
just play at 0.75 whanau.
Delightful
Sounds amazing, but those lads need to stand still!
Undisciplined in terms of always moving and not able to stand close together (first girl on the left end of the second row) and it would be a lot better if it’s about 75% of its current tempo.
Its beutyfull
U rite! But then I'm not a big choral music fan because it'd difficult to master tempo and phrasing with a big group. Some things are best left to pros.
it’s a fast arrangement guys calm down
generally a lovely tonsal quality but far far far too fast. This is a beautiful love song which should be tender and passionate and the tempo did not allow for this. Pity really
This is ridiculously fast... It's kind of hard not to sound like you're in a tin can when you're that rushed.
do stop fidgeting chaps is very noticeable, lovely apart from that and a bit fast at times
And I'll bet that this isn't the best of microphones as well.
The women sing way too brightly.
Eww. Tinny, and they have no clue how to look forward and stand still. Undisciplined.
samuraistalin ha bet u couldn't even sing
It’s okay to have fun and move around!
