I had a body shop and detail shop for several years. One time we had a car with bullet holes in the doors and the back seat covered in blood. That was the worst nastiest car ever.
I did something like that to 3 different vehicles. A 95 Ford T-bird, an 06, and 02 Toyota Camrys. ....except, I yanked out the whole interior on all vehicles. All of the seat cushions, foams, and the carpeting were submerged in warm water with Ariel laundry detergent in a plastic disposable swimming pool. I stomped down all the padding, and carpets, rinsed them, and washed again until the rinses came out somewhat clear. I vacuumed, and hosed down the inner floorboards with Mr clean, and a scrubber broom. On the T-bird, I had to pull off the whole dash because the heater core was leaking due to electrolysis, and the blend door in the plenum was damaged. I was getting no defrost heat on cold and rainy days. I went to the bone yard and picked up a decent replacement plenum. All electronics, wires, including the gauges were removed, and the dash was hosed down, cleaned, re-assembled, and bolted back into place over the new plenum. Installing the dash proved to be a real pain. That was the heaviest dashboard I ever had to pull off and had to lift back onto the car, connect wires, and bolt it down to install, almost all at the same time.
