what a beautiful video on the beautiful people. i see why dances are forms of art and entertainment as well, i felt lighter and bright after watching this video.
Fab doc. We all loved dancing in Glasgow, two/three nights per week. Great to see Agnes still to the fore. I was a young engineer in Rolls-Royce at Glasgow and remember her well. Upright and strong demeanor and yet pleasant to talk to. Her politics were not very dissimilar to her peers at that time and it's no surprise her going to Cuba. I wonder where she is now?
A wonderful documentary with a very engaging narrator about what it means to study a dance form as a 'foreigner' and then go to the country of the dance's origin and see the difference.
Agnes is a nice lady. And the people are just lovely. But, if she wanted to understand how proud the Cuban people are of their revolution, she should have visited Los Frikis. Alas.
What a wonderful lady. She seems to have such respect for the Cuban people and their culture.
