The dusty, lo-fi sound design, as if this song was heard/played behind a door, is an opposite way to our current HD tracks which unfortunately sometimes sound like botox.
A lot of Melchior's tracks got this lo-fi design, and it sounds so much warmer and definitely more timeless this way!
We should slow down this conquest for very high definition in sounds and pictures in general. Cause imagination works harder and better when informations received are fuzzy, dim, mysterious. Art needs frailty and imperfection to be Art. If our way to create sounds and pictures comes too close to "reality" and sounds too powered, too neat, then where is the journey, where is the dream?

soo agree, I'd add to it Sterile vs Natural and Analog ... when something is too clean and too neat its Sterile and its looses its soul and charm....like perfect landscapings in Florida lol makes me feel like in dentists office lol

Makes me feel melancholic nostalgic for the highest sensations of the night. We've passed the best part and we're aching to go back to that special place but fatigue is starting to set in and it's starting to feel like it's time to recover.

It's a serious testament to a djs skill if they can and do recognize exactly when that turning point in the night comes. Round about 4 am... they'll stay another 2 hours if you give em a breather that maintains their attention. It's a delicate balance

baltra - fade away, mall grab - can't get you outta my mind, raar - sometimes i hear sirens, and just look for recommended songs from there. i cannot remember exactly right now, but there are a lot of them.

good thing you can twist dem knobs then ;) but i guess your right, if i played it out in a club i might pull back on the highs a little. but in my opinion the distortion is what gives this track such an epic feel.
