For 2023, the Mercedes-Benz CLA-class compact four-door is the entry point for the company's sedan lineup, and it's equipped in a way that does justice to the three-pointed star on its grille. While it shares its platform with the high-strung Mercedes-AMG CLA models, it trades its high Scoville Heat Units rating for a less peppery flavor: it's a laid-back, low-stress daily commuter with style and appointments appropriate to a Mercedes. Inside, it features premium furnishings, plenty of amenities, and a large, infotainment-and-instrument cluster touchscreen that extends halfway across the dash. An adequately peppy turbocharged four-cylinder engine sends its power through front- or all-wheel drive.

Oh, wow! The Genesis G70 sedan looks not a little, but a thousand times more luxurious and higher end than this vehicle. I really thought I was going to like this CLA a lot more. The Germans are seriously falling behind the South Koreans when it comes to their sporty luxury vehicles.
