Thread checker/identifier (mobile version)

A stationary work bench thread checker is useful and convenient, but the nut or bolt must be taken to it. There are times when the size and pitch of a threaded hole or stud is needed on the vehicle. The work bench checker will be of no help...you can't take it to the vehicle. A mobile thread checker can do what a work bench checker can't...identify measurements at the vehicle.

Thank you for the tip. I just received a like new front strut that came without flange nuts to secure the top bolts. This kit would have easily helped determine what flange nut I needed for the job.
