ABOUT: 🔻
Evergrey was formed in 1995 in Gothenburg, Sweden as a progressive power metal band, in contrast to the melodic death metal that Gothenburg is known for. Since then, the band's lyrics have always been of the darker sort, and the same can be said of the band's imagery. The Dark Discovery was recorded in 1996 and released in 1998, and Solitude, Dominance, Tragedy was recorded and released in 1999. While those two albums dealt with a variety of ideas, many later albums have been concept albums, dealing with issues like paranoia and alien abduction in In Search of Truth (2001).
Floor Jansen is a Dutch singer and songwriter. She is the lead vocalist of Finnish symphonic metal band Nightwish. Jansen first became known as a member of symphonic metal band After Forever, standing as their lead vocalist from 1997, when she joined at age 16, to their disbanding in 2009.

“In Orbit” is the fourth of a series of videos we have shot for “The Storm Within” album.
Working very closely with Patric Ullaeus and rEvolver Film Company our aim was to recreate the eerie and desolate sense we had while writing the songs for this - the 10th Evergrey album - One could say this is our first real attempt at inviting everyone into the cinematic world where we have been in mind and thought throughout this year while writing. We think the imagery speaks for itself. This is just the beginning. The storm is coming.

Hey Dashy and Dad (kinda fun sunce I'm older than you) - Hannes van Dahl (Floor's husband) was Evergrey’s drummer from 2010 - 2013 till he joined Sabaton.
Tom Englund - lead singer / guitar has a university degree in social work, psychology and thrapeutic method for people in need. He got it while touring at the same time.

7:19 Yes indeed! You whooped the moment this song got way more interesting. Have to say that before that, they really needed Floor to spice up an otherwise pretty straightforward piece of rock. Liked the transition around 7:57 only to be caught off guard by the downright clumsy 1-2-3 jump! (epic ZZ-top style drum fill there..) straight back into the chorus at 8:09. I feel like this comment is very unfair to Evergrey. Yes, I myself don't listen to In Orbit too much because it's far from what I love about Evergrey's music but still...Floor is there because Evergrey is her favourite band and are you trying to say, that her taste is bad? Listen to some other Evergrey songs, they are gorgeous and atmospheric and usually more prog metal than anything else.
