Damn United Kingdom slayed everyone! So far in the lead and it was already obvious they'd win a landslide. EBU also brought back the basic juror voting system that year too.

It didn't take long for the UK to surge so far ahead that they looked to be unbeatable. Who would wind up 2nd turned out to be the real mystery. If you're confused by Sandie Shaw's stone-faced expression, she told later how her Eurovision experience was hard on her because the BBC didn't support her at all.
