We are planning ooty and kodaikanal in one trip shoud we first visit ooty or kodaikanal, also how many days are sufficient for this trip also should we travel by our car or by flight
Really depends on your preference, where you want to go first. I don't think it will make a difference in experience. There is no airport in Kodaikanal, nearest will be Madurai. And then locally you will will again have to book a taxi or rent a car for self-drive. So if driving from your home to these places is something you maybe open to then it is not a bad decision.

Glad you liked the video! Per head expenses would really depend on how many people are travelling, the hotel you are staying in, where you are eating, so it is really subjective. But, in general if you go on a budget, stay in hostels, then I suppose it could be around 5-7k for 2 days.
Yes, you can visit by road. The drive is really serene and fun. You don't need expert skills to drive on hills. But you need to be confident as the last stretch of the road is in hills and you will need to be comfortable on turns and slopes. Have fun and be safe! 💛
Hey, we do not really have recommendations for properties outside of the ones mentioned in the video. Checking the hotels on Google Maps would be your best bet. 😅
Hey, we have only covered Kodai so far among the places you have mentioned. However, I do think others will be open too during August. Given monsoons come earlier in the South as compared to the North, by August monsoons would definitely be past their prime, but you can still expect a bit of rain. 😅

@@XploreTheEarth no there is no bike rental. Not even auto rickshaw. Cab rates are too high. If you have own vehicle then only go there. By cab is too expensive. If your hiring cab. Then go for package wise. Like they will say these many places this much you have to pay. 14 places 2500 like that.
During our time, we didn't rent a 2-wheeler and do not have a recommendation per se. But there are 2-wheeler rentals. You can find the information through Google search. You should be able to find a couple near the bus stand as well. Hope this helps! 😀
Yes, take proper precautions for rains. Like umbrellas and keep valuables in a plastic to avoid unexpected rain. Baaki it is safe. Be careful on wet roads
Once, the monsoons are underway, I will not recommend swimming in the waterfalls, as it can be dangerous. Before monsoons, Vattakanal falls is one of the falls where you can enjoy in the water. Hope this helps.
Hey, most convenient option would be to take a direct cab from outside the railway station. Other option is to take a bus till Batlagundu and the switch the bus for Kodai from Batlagundu. Hope this helps.

These months will be prone to rain. That would mean some viewpoints will be cloudy and you may not get the best views. And at times rain can in general be a buzzkill. In that regard, September onwards will be a better time. 🙃 Having said that, if you love rain, then the lush green landscape and waterfalls in full flow can be an experience in itself. So, the choice really comes down to your preference. 😅
Can you also include the open and close time of any of these places? Like best time to visit a museum, or to check good time for sunrise/sunset ? But nicely covered video..keep up

Odds are you will not witness rain during that time in Kodaikanal. But with western ghats you never really know. So, be prepared accordingly. Between Munnar and Kodaikanal, both of them offer some scenic landscapes but my preference will be Kodaikanal, because it offers a wide variety of things that you can do.

Hey, almost all of them seem to go on and off. On our trip we had the most success with Jio.

Around 1.5 to 2K per day per person.
Included food, stay and commute with some miscellaneous expenses

We went a decent while back. Don't think it was available then. Your best bet would be to confirm with your hotel/hostel/homestay.
