I know a lot of people rightly focus on Yussef drumming in this performance, but im glad you were enthralled by Mansurs guitar playing. His ear for effects and texture is second to none, and his staccato runs are nearly flawless. Its hard to tastefully shred in jazz, especially with heavy effects, without sounding cheesy or gratuitous, but the way he builds the solo slowly into the shred is divinity.

I think it might be two different artists coming together 😊 Youssef Dayes and Alfa Mist... Don't think they are a band ☺️

Not a band. I believe it was cowritten by yussef and alfa mist and originally recorded on an lp. This is them with 2 friends cutting a live version that was released as a single, sadly theres no full album of these guys at abby road
