All I can say about the tamer is when I first went into hard mode I could not do enough DPS to the 1st boss alone. I put 1 energy activator and 2 catalysts into it and maxed it and now I've done all the hard bosses.
What’s your build?
The funny thing is everything I am stuck & look at "easy" boss guide. It almost always turn out they have very buffed gear and chars. My issue is, I wanted to save my catayist/mushroom for Ultimate version, & it affected my efficency
@@Kiadaw77 i think it's a necessary sacrifice early on if you want to progress fast and make sure you can beat the very end boss. and then everything will be a breeze to farm by that point
@@Pubert-hu1sy hello mate. Hard to remember all the names without loading it up but I think off top of my head it's rifiling reinforcement. Action and reaction. Fire rate up. Weak point sight. Weak point insight. Maximize weight balance. Elemental damage to whatever boss requires. And better insight or concentration whichever one does crit damage. I've just managed to get one of those on with no upgrades but when I put another catalyst in it I'll try and go both on the latter
@@Kiadaw77 I did that too man, it was such a struggle. Then i decided i liked normal Lepic and not ult, maxed him out and cleared. If anything: Find a weapon you love, you really only need 1 upgraded thing (I chose the descendant and not weapons)
I love the Tamer. It's the weapon i chose to max first, but it's important to note that it blooms like crazy. So, increasing its accuracy is likely to be a pure DPS increase over many of the lower DPS modules.
Appreciate it! Some of us may have also invested quite a lot into tamer and just want to get the most out of it :)
put a energy activator on it no going back now😂
Exactly haha
Got 5 into mine leveling for a 6th lol while also doing enduring
@@rteqzsame lmao...
I really do love your breakdown of prioritizing mods while upgrading. I think youre the only youtuber that dies this
I got lucky and got a tamer with 172k base DPS, now with your build I'm slaying practically everything. Thanks for the tips
The Tamer is going to be my go to machine gun. After running more than 50 runs at the dungeon to get the material needed then defeating the boss 50 times to get the blueprint and no drops, I've decided on the Tamer. Plus it'll save me from eventually throwing my monitor out of my window. lol
Love the way you present the build with the infographic, reslly useful and easy to understand
Ive watched many videoes about the tamer and yours are the ones I upgraded my tamer according to and now the gun feels great
how did youn upgraded the mods ? he doesnt say in the video and you have elemental mods to fit too
@@SioRay I simply upgraded the same modules hes using and left 1 spot for the elemntal damge modules
Im doing the same. So your elemental is lvl 10 so only 15% of the weapob dmg?@@safwan9161
@@safwan9161 i did too but its far away from 800k dps. I dont get it ....
Me too @@DerGrosseRonOhneHemd
I really appreciated the breakdown, the ranking, the explainations. Some people say here do this and done. I enjoyed the info.
internet can't decide whether the Tamer is a good or mediocre.
I feel like with enough upgrades every gun has its place
The internet also doesn’t understand what nuance means. It’s a great weapon for tanks like Ajax.
every gun is good if made good? is a gun only good because a youtuber said so? grow some balls and do whatever you want.
@@neverending5316 yes correct. tamer is the colossus killer for weaker descendants..
In all honesty...I think its mostly personal preference...I use Ultimate Lepic mostly since I am still building him out so tamer feels better to use to me but if I run Bunny or Freyna or Viessa then I use Thundercage
From all the numberdreaks out there like myself, i THANK YOU SO MUCH for this video and the spreadsheet you've created!!!!!! SUB 4 LIFE!!!!!!!
Thanks for all you do. This helped
the tamer carries you to endgame til you can grind for the 5x legendaries. get it early, cheap to reroll. its rly ol' faithful. knowing there's better options in the future, all u need is an activator n itll get the task did for bare minimum.
Earned a sub! Answered every question I had and this format is beautiful.
Great stuff. Thank you so much😍. There's so much misunderstanding in the community (and by many youtubers) about how damage works in this game its embarrassing. Its also very true that not everyone can just slap on the optimal dps mods and use the damn gun, given that gun feel and aiming can be a complete dogs breakfast with some weapons in this game, especially on console! So thank you for the many options you provide. Excellent stuff 😁
the tamer is a weapon to be modified to help non Gley/vieassa or lepic type descendants to more more damage due their KIT being weak towards the colossus. the tamer outside of intercept battles is kinda of a struggle. that's why there are thunder cages and other very good weapons to use in other parts of the game. its set up on the vid and all sun stats applied correctly the damage to a colossus is fantastic. if everyone puts effort to making these weapons you would be surprise on how fast bosses die.
Base firearm attack, crit rate, crit dog, weak point are my essential weapon mods.
Nice guides, thanks for your work.
One suggestion for improvement would be to add various symbols, such as triangle, square or circle, to module name to allow us to quickly find out which mods share the same mod group. Mods from one group would have the same symbol next to their name.
good video now i have the motivation to improve my poor tamer for S1
Sounds very good thanks for the Video.
best built video, better than those 5k upvote video.
Honestly I think after the flat fire atks, accuracy and fire rate is good to max first and then splash yellow mods and weak point damage. I wouldn’t do too much crit damage but I might be wrong, just cause its base crit is low so might as well make it a spray and pray machine haha
Willpower is better for precise shots like bride’s arms on enrage phase imo but swapping back to tamer to shred her when she’s immobilized is good
I like the Tamer because I'm terrible at aiming so more ammo = more hits.
Coming from ESO pvp, I was wandering why I am being CC by enemies around me when I use the Tamer. Now I will swap to another weapon when I need to get moving. Thanks for the note on movement speed down.
Fire rate up ! You can use rapid fire insight ? You will have 8% fire speed and crit 1.5%
Doing a great job man... your helping me alot in this (sometimes confusing) game.. thanks
Instead of fire rate up. Use bullet rain give same 8% fire power vut gives 1% firearms atk
Thanks for the the detailed info.. Ill give it a try!!
Thank you, can't wait for scout rifles.
They need a dps tracker in the laboratory I’d actually use it
In my opinion there should also be a dmg and kill count at the end of each activity you doing as a group, that everyone can see 😅
Same as an option to inspect other players so I can see their loadout
0:16 The internet AND online?!
The firearm atk reroll on this gun is max 12.2%
After having all those golden rolls and maxed out the mods max dmg u can get is 549k they must've nerved the tamer with their last patch without announcing it.
Thank you. Im subscribing!!
Dont know if people know thus but i can use my ground slam sub attack during the mid way of reloading and it just fully reloads the weapon. So i only need to reload half way before using the slam attack to get a full reload
or dodge
It just cancels the rest of the animation. You cannot do it until your mag is in the gun and you can roll or melee or grapple also.
mental focus is really only useful if ur playing gley tbh as other characters won’t get near as much value out of it
Waiting for the Enduring Legacy spotlight
It's getting buffed on the 31st so I'm waiting to see what balance changes they will make
Blue Beetle is a fun one to build. Should try it out.
10-4
Mental focus (Hard) Ransacked village in Hagios
These are awesome, you should do them for Nazeistra's/Perforator/HCs. Not a whole lot of coverage from what I've seen on HCs
enduring legacy build pls :)
Would love to see a tier list from you at some point after all these weapon buide guides!
Great content drybear. I am enjoying this game (the grind is rough though). I am missing you from Diablo 4 content, will you be back again for d4?
Planning to cover Vessel of Hatred expansion in October yep
@@DrybearGamers Looking forward to see your content. We share very similar taste in gaming. I am a TFD/D4/once human mainly gamer now.
I wonder why no one uses recycling genius mod it helps make up for the loss from the concentration priority mod
i just wanna farm bosses for fun, dont wanna waste crap ton of time for farming legacy. Imma build my tamer and enjoy P: 👍
Based take 👍
Excellent video!
Mental focus is for special rounds. I can’t use it on the tamer
There is 1 for each ammo type
Please do Enduring Legacy and Divine Punishment! ❤️
can you show us your actual screen with the mods?
did a miss a final pic of which modules to focus on first? or is the list on the left it? i.e. you would max out mental focus before leveling action and reaction? then elemental enhancement... and so on?
Yep you got it, that's what the list on the left is
I've been using the same tamer since I first found it, wasn't aware of the Internets inability to classify it, but yeah it's a banger of a gun.
High RoF/big mag in its vanilla setting, its versatile with modding also. With an AR I know its going to be fully crit built, with the tamer I can build it into any dps variant I need.
For example I love the crit tamer, but I also love the high elemental damage you can put out, again because of the RoF and plenty of bullets.
My big issue is like mentioned, weight.. and the reload time. Which is where the AR comes to the save.
If they weren't both general round users, I'd have both equipped.
In 5 hours best best double updated best updated best Tamer build.
Tamer is great if you don’t have time to farm 6-8hrs for blue prints for legendary guns ..
This might be dumb to ask, but what is the greatest dps of the gun when you find it? Or can you increase it? I felt like asking since I found a lv100 one, but dont know if there is a chance of finding another with a slightly higher dps stat.
Don’t do mental focus it is really bad. Benefits aren’t there until ur half way through the mag. Sharp is much better for tank builds and real life is much better for every other build
Which one to use if not Mental Focus...
Is there a stream or video where you go over the formula that maths out the dps or is that as simple as checking out your spread sheet? I’d like to be able to read the weapon stat block for shotguns and know what to lean into. Or any gun really.
For the algorithm
Why would you not want to roll crit rate or weak point?
Crit rate on almost every machine gun is abismal, 10% base on tamer, with crit rate roll barely giving oyu a 11.5% crith chance its bascally usless so its a dps loss if you compare it to flat atk enhancements, and the same for weak point, the increase is too small to give it prio over other rolls
Just to check, how did you work out the theoretical DPS on this build? Specifically in terms of which modules you didn't' max out? I only ask because I incorrectly assumed the build had all modules maxed but I've just realised you can't do that because the elemental enhancement vs weakness modules all have different socket types which means you can't assign them a module socket type meaning the capacity would be 86 with all of the above modules maxed out. My build is specifically for fighting colossi so just wondering what module(s) to not max out?
Loving your content mate. Looking forward to the Python one and can i kindly request one for Wave of Light / scout rifles please?❤
My tamer has no catalyst or energy, so pretty much running stock modules lol.
The spreadsheet link in the description doesn't work but the one in the comment works 🤔
Getting Mental Focus to drop is the real end game 😆
Devour Hard is your best bet trust me I farmed it for hours until a buddy said do devour got it first try
@@markstjean8622 Appreciate the heads up
I was going to think this but then my farm rotation lead me to Hard Devourer. I have two now after 6 clears.
@@markstjean8622 Did about 6 clears. Got the drop. Awesome tip again 👏
Bro shot focus is the real grind. Having to combine to get it is wild
Great video
I’ve heard that enduring legacy is better than tamer. Why are you comparing an AR like Eternal willpower instead of a LMG?
I've tried running a shotgun, never get ammo for it. So my question is , does that module that say pickbup ammo changes 1 special round for ever 25bis how I get more shotgun ammo?
Why mental focus over the one that ramps damage over time? 5 seconds gives 60% Firearm atk, 20% fire rate and far less recoil?
Mental Focus on MG's goes up to 150% Firearm ATK at max, so any weapon that has this many max rounds is going to benefit from it more than Sharp Precision Shot or Real-Life Fighter.
So what makes the Eternal Willpower better?
The DPS numbers don’t correlate to actual damage output. Why is every content maker not talking about this?
All of these calculations were done by hand and have nothing to do with the sheet DPS displayed in game
I didn't understand that she was the second statistic to take precedence over the gun. What is "ele dmg from fatk" ?
yeah i must be special or something because I don’t understand a single thing in this video lmao ggs tho
For starting and for first ultimate farming is ok to use Tamer, bul a Ultimate gives more min maxing with unique skills
Hello, nice build but...why you got crit-dmg on it ? i thought the Tamer got no crit-chance ?
If you run with with Valby or Enzo the crit is worth it without, not so much
There just aren't any other less bad options
Is this better than the Greg?
why are we building so much crit dmg with so little crit rate
Where is your build? Is this screenshot of unmaxed modules supposed to be the build?
Yes, the 10 modules on screen are for the weapon's max DPS. Players can upgrade & catalyze in the priority order from the left or supplement modules they prefer based on their playstyle
So if I'm running this exact loadout I want the first 4 re-rolls as my priority?
@@Coryleefarnham yep you got it
Thank you 😊
I'm pretty much done upgrading my Tamer and I got 3 gold substats and a purple substaton it. Still not even 500k DPS. What am I missing -__-
So i see 15 enhance/catalyst priority 😅 with reall life fighter and sharpshooter not being on the imgur image for the 12 total modules ya can combine. nor on the video wich basically is the exact imgur picture.
Can we even put sharpshooter/real life fighter and mental focus on at the same time as those are top 3 priority? Like do i copy the image? Do i copy the prioritt list from top to bottom. Sorry if i make it complicated but i do wonder 😅 i need a colosus killer asap so to exactly know what mods i catalys/masterwork to prevent material losses. Thank you
Sooo if i can keep up gley 3 perma so never reload mean perma passive for mental focus?
A sword! Fireworks!
Can someone help me understand the top right gun stats vs the re rolling priorities, don't you want the top 4 of either side. I don't get it.
Can someone help me understand why Insight/Crit Rate isn't prioritized?
Building crit on a weapon with a low crit rate base is useless. You'd get more out of it going with a weak point build.
What is the best weapon to fight devourer?
Gley
Are you saying out those modules on with no upgrades to them
Upgrade & catalyze by the order on the left
@@DrybearGamersthanks 👍👍
options in weapon?
"theoretical" .. yea .. crit damage always boosts the theoretical dps, tooltip are just extremely misleading in this game. Just do real life test of timed bosses and you'll realize. In this specific case, it's even pretty ridiculous having such high critical damage mods when you have such a poor Crit hit rate and not even one mod to enhance it :p
Just check SolidFPS video about the Tamer. It's not a terrible weapon, but far from being the best + it hampers your mobility a lot.
This is a common misconception with Critical Strikes. Hampering your mobility is a huge concern though, especially for some Descendants like Sharen or Bunny 👍
Im extremely confused on how the firearm crit hit damage is calculated.. for instance im to take my firearm atk and multiply it by crit hit dmg , right? but the game in the details lists crit hit dmg as 1.6x base for the tamer - i guess, to spit out my question, do i multiply what number times my firearm atk? & that would give me the supposed “1.6x” crit hit dmg that my gun is outputting? I think the fact that it lists it this way in the details , rather than a straight up % confuses me (keep in mind, math is not my strong suit). If I highlight it, its showing the 2.198x crit hit dmg on my gun as 37.4% - so is that 37.4% of my firearm attack which is 19781.98, meaning the 2.198x equates to 37.4% , so multiplied by 19781.98 would give me my current crit hit dmg? I feel stupid and confused as hell haha because of the multiple different ways it’s shown in the details.
Sorry to further confuse anyone 😅😂
The percentage is showing the bonus you’re gaining from the module, not your crit dmg. If your base crit dmg stat is 1.6, 37.4% of 1.6 is .5984 which will yield you 2.1 crit dmg.
so then how do i figure out where to use the 2.1 crit dmg to see what the actual amount im putting out is.
How much of this will go well with enduring legacy MG?
Nearly all of it. I believe the mag size is bigger and the movement speed on Enduring Legacy is also better.
Unfortunately tamer has been dethroned.
Is sharp precision shot still bugged? last i checked it didn't do much
i've been using it and haven't ever seen an issue with it. Works damn good in my opinion.
DO NOT GO BY THE DPS NUMBER Tamer is good for early game enduring legacy for late game also dont copy this build you need to build for firearm damange and crit damage 😂 weapon has abismal crit chance to start with also weak point damage doesn't scale that great either 😂
Why is crit dmg and crit rate so far down rhe reroll priority? Wjats the marh behind it? For example, mine shows a perk of crit dmg 41.1%, whuch looks good. I'm trying to understand this.
Basically 20% of 20% is 0.04 at max crit rate of 39% it's only 0.078 as listed in the game but the interface lies to you and says you get a full 7.8 % the highest possible crit rate is 60% with mods maxed takes 5 full ranked mods to hit that number BTW incase you didn't know so the base on tamer is 20% so the max you could possibly get is 30% 60% with the enzo buff so the key build is crit damage and firearm damage
I dont understand the priority list and percentages.
Is that the list of all the mods in the build, isnt it too many? The pictures mods to the right of yhe list doesn't match the list. What do the percentages represent?
the priority and percentage indicates how well the module will do for your build, you move on to the next best thing if you don't have it or don't wanna use it, so you don't have to use everything in the list these are just other options, the og build is in the middle
I really dont understand the pic ... there is moduls that in left side but not equip in right side ... and if i go with % way mental focus on 100% and real life to? its the same category ... somone can explain plz?
Upgrade and catalyze the mods in the build in the order shown on the left. if mods are in the same category, just go down the list if you're making substitutions
@@DrybearGamers ty for the respond love you !
Do we need to max ours mods or no
Yes, max them and catalyze the slot to reduce its cost
Why are you not showing your build in game as it is ? I don't understand your videos.
I have this exact build to a t and I’m only getting 503,000 dps video is not good lol
The in-game DPS is inaccurate and should be ignored
So how do you fit all the elemental mods in one slot with different forma ?
You put it blank ?
Also im playing enzo, if i dont use edging shot and better insight, i dont have 70-90% crit rate
Is it still good to go your build ?
Leave it blank so you can switch elemental mods
@@shimpfierie thanks a lot for the reply
@@shimpfierie wait. But it mean it wont be at max. Only 10 capacity max
If someone could enlight me because When i see the video he doesnt talk about this mod max or this mod not
I have 70/80 with tamer so you cant fit any mods at 16 because they all have different symbol. This picture doesnt make sense..
Can you show your 4 sub-stats for each weapon you present in the video?
The re-roll stat priority can be found in the top right of the build sheet
@@DrybearGamersok but what is bonus vs atk ? Et why electric dmg ?
@@xli-commando-lix4406 On the stat re-roll screen you'll see all the available stats. On there are a group of stats for "Bonus vs Colossi" and "Bonus when attacking" specific factions. Flat Elemental damage is your 4 damage types: Electric, Toxic, Chill, Fire
@@DrybearGamersOkay, but would it be possible to make a video or explain why having 2 different elemental damage on a weapon is better because I don't understand, isn't it better to adjust the elemental modulus on the weapon only? Why look for elemental damage in sub-stats plus an elemental damage module?
