The various photos of the bodies are much more impacting and sobering than just listening to the song by itself. God, I wish primary education showed this side of war. The violent, grotesque, and unforgiving side. Just like what this song depicts.
@@crescent_sun482 dunno, actually i don't think he/she deleted it, because if u go to ''about '' page in Star droid's channel, there's still the total views, so he/she just made it private, like every other video
Its not a post World War 1 song. On the hills of Manchuria was written in 1906 as stark, dark reminder of the defeat of Imperial Russian Forces against the Empire of Japan on the last battle (Battle of Mukden) of the 1905 Ruso-Japanese War. It has had very different lyrics variations, this one being of the most forgotten so good job on that. One of the more famous ones but also more painful is that of the Mokshansky Regiment who was present in the battle. (I have it uploaded in my channel). "Russo-Japanese War "On the Hills of Manchuria" (Russian: На сопках Маньчжурии, romanized: Na sopkah Manchzhurii) is a waltz composed in 1906 by Ilya Alekseevich Shatrov.[1] The original and orchestral arrangement is written in E-flat minor while the folk arrangement is in F minor." dbpedia.org/page/On_the_Hills_of_Manchuria

Yeah, I had it saved anyway thought I’d make it easier to access it. It’s a beautiful version too, even more of a reason to reupload it.
