Thats awesome you did pantheon and got yours. I did the same. The catalyst will be a chore to acquire though haha. I play PVE mostly and I currently use my touch of malice on my Voidwalker. I love pairing chromatic fire with void subclass, the weakening debuff is great. Touch of malice is strengthened by all the debuffs and buffs that void offers.
It's unique within its archetype, which makes it a fun weapon to use and try to learn to be better with. I get the feeling of thinking you're the only one who likes something, for myself, that's the Wicked Implement, such a strong pvp scout that everyone looks over simply because of archetype.
I've been wanting to grab this since forever ago. It's got one of the best 260 scout stat packages that I've ever used. 100% worth getting if you don't have it yet
It’s a very specific play style, and you have to get used to using it. Myself personally I tend use the magazine in the engagement and end the fight on the final round. I run the warlock helmet for healing Nades and my whole subclass is built around keeping restoration up. But it by far is my favourite weapon in both games.
If I knew the catalyst added some kind of extra charged with blight utility, I would wait to say it, but since it's rapid hit only, I have a decent idea of how it's going to feel with said catalyst already. My favorite aspect to it is how much of a damage boost you get on the final round shot, which meaningfully changes your ttk in a gunfight.
I really like touch of malice, not only because its my only raid exotic, but because its very fun pve, but catches people off guard in pvp.
My only real issue with it is I have such a hard time not dieing because my health is low enough for a 1 tap from any weapon.
@GrungusTV it's such a blast to use. I can't wait to use it with the catalyst for even more consistency
playing on hunter with devour feels pretty nice with touch for survive-ability, or a solar titan/warlock
@@Tsuchiikage those are definitely solid picks for pure survival

It didn't even cross my mind to try chromatic fire with it. That sounds awesome
Not a chore
@@DreadnotusIt is a chore. Everything in this game is a chore.
I'm glad to see I'm not the only one that likes the malice feels like I'm the only one at times

We need a good ornament that fixes the optics. Tired of feeling like I'm peeping through a cracked door.
That would be really nice
holy that thing is a powerhouse, i see you doing good but i can't quite see the true potential until i see it straight from you great watch!

My favourite weapon in the game pushing 14,000 crucible kills on mine
14k on this is mad impressive. I assume you run devour to counter the self damage?
No devour, just run solar. It’s more consistent heals.

I can imagine this on a hunter with wormhusk and healing nade on solar, being an absolute god loadout. Or Warlock solar with heat rises
Both of those would be absolutely nasty in pvp. Another one that comes to mind is a blink warlock with something like chromatic fire or briarbinds.
You like it until you see me running a wormhusk with it on solar with a backup healing grenade.
Definitely one of the better ways I've been recommended to play it
Wait did you say that you can blind targets by blocking with helm of saint 14?
Yes, you can. It's been a part of the Helm of Saint since year 1. There was just never any use for it back then
@@HonoredD2 I can’t believe this. Wowza time to get cooking with my thousands of crucible glaive kills
I should specify that it's only with the super. I wish it synergized with glaives because I'd run that almost 100% of the time
favorite but no catalyst?

Why this Saint-14 helmet in pvp?
Because in just under a week, if I decide to run bubble titan and want to receive the damage boost, I'll need to run it to be able to get it.
