"He just Beetlejuiced the shit out of Broly" - I've spent the last two years watching reactions to DBZA, and this is the first time I've heard THAT one. It's perfect!
When Broly says “My power is maximum” is a reference to an article that got published many years ago where kids were asked what superhero they would want to be. A kid drew Broly and wrote “His power is maximum.” Not sure how it gained traction on the internet, but it just became a thing.
I just have to point out how amazing the voice actor of Broly is. Not only is he both versions of Broly, he's also the voice of Kami and Android 16 in DBZA. Such a great range
"I'm a foot and a half taller than you but whatever..." is one of the greatest voice reveals ever made. Fight me on this if you will, you *won't* convince me otherwise
Yep. The part about Goku crying and annoying Broly is exactly why Broly does not like him. That is why TFS kept making the joke "but he's so cool, but that's so dumb'! Don't worry though. They retconned Broly's backstory in the dragonball movie that came out a few years ago and it's 100x better.
I think the in story explanation is since Baby Goku was in the crib next to Broly when King Vegeta tried to stab Broly. The crying got tied together with the trauma of being stabbed by the King causing Broly to hate Goku and Vegeta (due to his father)
I heard that was only in the English Dub, in the Japanese version Broly hating Goku for crying was never a thing. It's pretty vague or even a straight-up mystery why Broly hates Goku. I guess it was up to our interpretation for better or worse.

I have been trying for ages to find a reaction where someone realises that Nappa is meant to be Jafar. Years of people not mentioning it and finally someone did. Thank you.
For those that missed the reference from not watching enough TFS, or didn’t put 2n2 together from later in video....Nappa was the last Royal Grand Adviser. He advises the last King to confront Friezia. It went as well as you think.😵 The Jafar reference is intentional to add to the “bad advisor” picture.

The Japanese colloquialism for proposal is something like "I'll make you breakfast" or something, the implication being you want to live together and such. That's where the joke comes from, it never really translated into English.
9:15 so the guy constantly screaming is Mercenary Tao from dragonball. He was certainly a main antagonist for awhile. Let's just say the robot eyes and head gear are the results of fighting Goku. Which would explain the screaming.
19:44 So fun fact: Broly is quite literally the actual “Legendary super sayain” said in the legend. He is said to be the strongest among all sayains from birth. Funnily freeza missed him. Regardless he can win literally any 1 on 1 fight up to now.
One of the things about Broly is that if you watch the actual movie, that is his backstory. Goku cried a lot, tormenting Broly. And Vegeta's reactions in this are mirroring what the fanbase thought. "But... that's really dumb. But he's so cool! But that's so dumb!!!"
The funny part is that they didn’t make up the whole “motivated by a crying infant” thing. Broly is immensely popular solely because of his sheer overwhelming might, but his motivation is beyond stupid and he was severely lacking in anything remotely close to character development or personality. There’s not even an explanation as to why he’s evil either, and there were *three movies* made with this Broly. Thankfully, Toriyama and the rest remade and rewrote Broly to where he is objectively so much better on all fronts (though I wouldn’t recommend watching Dragon Ball Super: Broly until after you’ve watched all of the Dragon Ball Super episodes).
It was kind of implied that Broly being so fucking strong as a kid made him uncontrollable. That's exactly why King Vegeta was so scared of him: A human child having a tantrum is no threat to their parents. They listen to their parents because of the control - both positive and negative - that their parents exert. If that same child is bulletproof, fireproof, blast-proof, can hurl blobs of explosive plasma basically on command, and is strong enough to pick up and throw a *continent,* the dynamic goes out the window. Being traumatized by getting stabbed in the gut and having his home planet explode all around him probably didn't help either, but Paragus didn't have to get Broly rigged with a mind control tiara until Broly was older, so I'm assuming him becoming evil was a more gradual process than just him suddenly snapping.
