2 questions: have you ever tried to go through the process to get a legal film permit for a place? Might make a good video... 2nd - what luck have had using an external monitor for roller shots?
Thanks Mike, I had my first shoot the other day with a Manual 02 Gallardo and took inspiration from your videos to get ideas such as smoke, light painting, etc. The owner absolutely adores the photos as they came out sick, and I thank you for that. Been watching you for some time now keep it up!
One thing I do for shooting rollers is having the camera on the gimble (like you said) but having a interferometer. So I don’t have to bend down and push the shutter button on the camera and add shake
The part where you explain the cop not knowing how to fine you and saying it was a stupid, made me laugh. I was planning to do that stupid stunt this weekend. But now I don't know anymore. Anyway great content, subscribed.
Haven’t even watched this vid yet but this is what I NEEDED to get through the quarantine (commenting from the U.S., Pennsylvania to be exact where every nonessential business was government shut down at 8pm last night)
Its funny how you said dont do anything stupid, well i was taking shots hanging out of the sunroof a few weeks back. Gotta do what you have to do sometimes lol. I really enjoy your content man and it helps someone new like me so thank you. Cheers broski
appreciate the tips. getting ready to do a shoot for a luxury car service so shooting a lot of high dollar SUV's, tricked out sprinters and the owners new BMW.
Mike, you have some really stellar, high quality content! I have no idea how some of the boys have more followers than you, when they don't quite compare. I love all you guys, but hats off to you especially, my guy! You inspire me the most by keeping it the real-est.
Ben Hartnett is a beast. His porsche video is frothy. More alternatives are car rigs, my intro video is more what is used in commercial work and is completely legal. Also bro, use a gopro lanyard attached to 1/4 screw that has the mounting point on it. That will save your gimbal and camera one day.
I shot my dad's audi A6 for the first time and took inspiration from your car video's. Great tips man (If you want to see the shots I made a video on it)
Lmao my first ever time shooting rollers was a completely unorganised happy accident with a crew of french/Belgian guys happened to be on the same route as us after a show, thought I’d take the opportunity to lean out the window and shoot a couple off, at i think 50mph on a long arse bridge with a 35mm lens on a crop sensor 😂 communication extended to 😄 and 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻 Best part was they thought my dads Vauxhall was a Skoda, top geezers 😂
Pls make more videos of you finding jobs few that you made are amazing you are the only one on yt that showed finding jobs so pls make at least 2 more vids
Seen some ppl who use walkie talkie to communicate on these type shoots. Can get the drivers to talk to each other and photographer just shouts at his driver.
Here is a random photo battle idea have a driver and you sit in the passenger seat with only a 16-35 lens and see what you guys can get from only being quarantine your car 🤷🏽♂️
I have all the time this "UTE's" doing this when I'm driving my STI... I don't give a shit!!! consequences of "street racing" here at north are pretty huge!
Hello, I recently found your channel and with the passion for cars and photography, easy to understand that I enjoy watching. Two things: 1. I'm Portuguese, sorry for my rubbish English. 2. When you said "Have the shutter speed at the same speed" what did you mean? Like, if you are travelling at 40KPH have 1/40s as you mentioned. Or, actually, translate in order to have the same speed in the shutter 40/1h = 40/3600s = 4/360s = 1/90s? Sorry to border you, nice job. Regards.
literally one of the only youtubers with no bullshit, ads, wasting time. SO REFRESHING
Matthew Michael to be honest though, if he did have ads I would watch all of them!
Couldn’t agree more, love his personality🙌🏻

I have done rolling shots before while in a carpark sitting in the boot of a fiesta with a gimbal. Weird experience 😂
I wish Canada had utes, that shit's nuts 🤣🤣🤪
Hey Mike can you explain your camera settings for the photos and how you take it. This would be cool.
Thanks mate
And how is the name from your stabilizer?
As a Mustang owner I approve this message and video. :D
Can do rear car shots with arm arm stabiliser thing from 'Scotty makes stuff'. It sits on a tow bar. Check it out.
I take my rollers hanging out the back of a truck bed 😂
Have you seen krispy media?? He has some top notch rollers as-well!
