How to Clean CD Player Laser When CD Won't Play on Sony SCD-CE775 SA cd player. This is how I fixed a CD player that would not play certain CDs. Some CDs would play but even those were a struggle for the machine on occasion. After cleaning the lens as shown, all CDs played fine. Only attempt at your own risk. There are numerous other reasons why CDs may not play but ensuring the lens is clean is a good first step when troubleshooting. Thanks for viewing.

Very good you did remove the dust from the cell, this is the first thing good, and after this to clean the lens with izopropilic alcool. Also I always keep a cd permanent inside the drawer to avoid the dust. Great job.

It appears that all 5 CD chambers just share the same single laser lens in these multi CD players. Is that consistent for all multi CD players?

​@@vintageav Great - to follow up and make sure I am understanding you: when I use one of those head cleaning disks (the ones that say at the end of the process, "your laser lens is now clean"), I only need to use it in exactly ONE of the cd trays of the player, correct?
That single use in ONE of the 5 trays, in fact, cleans the laser lens for ALL 5 TRAYS, correct?
