There are some differences in the style of Tanjavur and in that of Mysore But nowadays that has become same for them as answered by Vid. R K Srikantan.The most dominant reason may be due to migration of artists from one state for performing concerts or it might be possible that they permanently stayed there. And Hindustani and carnatic have a lot of differences Carnatic is for pure devotional purpose while this isn't so the case with Hindustani . Hindustani as precisely mentioned by Late Vidwan R K Srikantan was more patronised by Kings and Nawabs , thus the music genre got changed there . But there are few exceptions , like compositions of Saint Surdas , Mirabai and so on
