I pulled out my 7/16 crown stapler on the last set of cabinets I built and found it to be quicker and just as solid as screwing them together. As a bonus the staples are also cheaper. Thanks for the tip! I enjoy your videos!
have a plan first----make it accurate----cut to those dimensions----assemble with correct fasteners----finish to suit environment----sit back and enjoy---- you make it happen in all your videos-----thanx rick

Lots of other folks on youtube never use melamine or particle board but I’ve noticed you use a lot of it. Maybe a video on why? I’ve been conditioned on here to believe MDF/particle board bad, Baltic birch good.
Thanks again!
I love your enthusiasm with which you build Wes. You clearly enjoy this work and that's why you're a master at what you do. Thank you for sharing!

I have been using a similar support for upper cabinets for 40 years but with adjustable furniture legs. When I loosen them, I remove the support box without scratching the top of the lower cabinets. Greetings from Bulgaria !
Great tip! Thanks for watching from so far away! 😀 Wes
@@WoodworkingWithWes A villager went to a sage for advice. "- Sir, I live high in the mountains, and the sea is at the end of the horizon, and my eyes are too weak to see it up close. How can I make them stronger? - You don't need eagle eyes to see beauty no matter how far away it is, but a heart!
Superb. Thank u kindly Sir .Amazing.
Thank you 😀 Wes
Thank you sir, awesome education video
Glad you liked it...thanks for watching, Wes
Okay Wes you should build a track saw station, MFT! That’d be a fun video!
Thank you Wes for step by step cabinet building. I’m making a pair of cabinets for our bathroom. I’m very unsure about the type of hinges to use. There’s a lot of lingo I’m unfamiliar with like 94 degree or 105 degree, and overlap. Can you tell me the specific hinge to use like the ones you used please. Thanks again.
I have provided you with an Amazon link for the proper hinge to use. Thanks for watching, Wes
Awesome! I have never been a huge fan of melamine but it sure does have its place in terms of cost, workability, stability, durable finish, etc... I think I will make some shop cabinets just like this. What are your thoughts about making the finished end panels 7/8" proud of the cabinet box to flush out with the cabinet doors? Also why do you like salice over blum? Is it a regional thing because blum is king here on the west coast :) thanks
Hi...the size of end panel is a personal preference, so which ever you like. I have used
Blum hinges also and they are great; salice has adjustment features I like better. Thanks for watching, Wes
If you were building the cabinet with a face frame, which would you apply first: the 1/4 back board or the face frame to square thing up? (Thanks for all the advice already)
Hi...I would apply the face frame first and then the back when completed. Thanks for watching, Wes
Hi thank you very much for your videos I have a question what size of the Staples are you using in what kind of staple gun do you recommend me and thank you very much for the videos
Hi...we have done a video that will give you this information:

You are the man thank you very much🫡🫡
I watched you give a secret on adding two measurements together and can not remember what the secret is. Can you help? Thanks, JP
Thanks. What type of dust collector do you have?
My dust collector is a small 1 horsepower Shop Fox. Thanks for watching, Wes
How strong are wide crown staples? Can the shelves hold anything of weight with only staples holding them? Ty great video.
I have never had them tested for maximum weight, however, I have never had one fail. Thanks, Wes
What size wide crown staples do you use
Hi...I use medium crown staples - 7/16" wide x 1 3/4" long. Thanks for watching, Wes
How do you determine when to use only Brad nails and when to use staples?
Hi...I actually use both. The brad nails are more for alignment and the staples are for securing the assembly. Thanks for watching, Wes
@@WoodworkingWithWesRight, but sometimes you use only nails like on the hanging cleats you didn’t use any staples. What determines when you also use staples and when you don’t?
What happens if your staple blows out to the inside or outside?
You would need to make a repair on the melamine surface with either a white screw cap or a white filler, such as Seam Fill. Thanks for watching, Wes
Why wouldn't you get a hand trimmer for edge banding? Way faster and it won't over cut and get into the melamine
I do have a hand trimmer that I use on PVC edge banding. The white iron on cleans up better with just a file. Thanks for watching, Wes
😃😃😃😃😃
As a cabinetmaker, if I can make one criticism that is that your doors are too short in height, don’t like seeing the bottom edge at least make him the same length as the scene ends
Personal preference
