- In this video we will show you how Pakistani Desert living celebrate marriage, this video is regarding walima ceremony.because first day Nikah day i can not join them, so i only join walima event.
Walima (Arabic: وليمة walīmah), or the marriage banquet, is the second of the two traditional parts of an Islamic wedding. The walima is performed after the nikah (Arabic: نكاح) or marriage ceremony. ... It designates a feast in Arabic. Walima is used as a symbol to show domestic happiness in the household post-marriage.
here in Desert this even celebrate different way, in cities relatives are invited on fix time like lunch or dinner but in desert peoples are living in scattered areas and traveling is tough ,so they invite them in lunch and this lunch continue 12pm to 16:00pm. peoples come for lunch any time and this continue upto evening.

My farm is 40km from lahore, we did the same thing, although invited guest came in the marquee, but all our surrounding villages received food.
This tradition still goes on in big cities which have village's,.. We had live music, which went on till 04.00am, no one complained every one was enjoying, we stopped half hour before Azaan.
