  • The best way to get from Charles de Gaulle Airport to Paris is by taking the RER B airport city train leaving from either CDG Terminal 2 or Roissypole (the building housing the CDG Airport train station closest to CDG Terminal 1 and CDG Terminal 3).
The RER B train from Charles de Gaulle to Paris runs north-south through the centre of Paris with many going from CDG to Gare du Nord, the London to Paris Eurostar station, then at Châtelet Les Halles the “super” exchange station with 4 metro lines and 3 RER lines available, then Saint Michel/Nôtre Dame, Luxembourg, Port Royal, Denfert-Rochereau, Cité Universitaire, and continues south towards Orly Airport
The last RER B train leaving airport CDG for Paris departs at 11:56pm just before midnight arriving at Paris Gare du Nord at 12:26am. This train schedule from CDG to Paris is the same every day of the week, including holidays.

Great video! I enjoyed it very much. It really takes me back to my first-ever ride on a RER-B from the CDG airport to the Notre Dame stop and I got to experience the joy of seeing Paris from the same perspective (your/rider's perspective). Thanks for sharing it:)

All that graffiti just sad. What a way to be welcomed to Paris.

It's been like that for donkey's years...I remember a lot of graffiti when I arrived at CDG in 2005! It's not just a French problem, graffiti criminals are everywhere.

I’d call it a regional train as it handles more than “commuters” and does so 24/7 I believe.

I’m confused, I thought the RER was non-stop out of the airport, but I see this made several stops.

It took me a long time to figure out that the Roissy Pole was a place to catch the busses. The RER stops first at the Roissy Pole and 2nd stop is Terminal 2 (easy to remember). When you get off at 2, on the other side of the concrete wall is where you get the TGV. The upper hall also has ticket offices. There is also a waiting salon for the handicapped and a pay bathroom. We always get off at the first stop because of our Hotel Ibis which is a 3 minute walk away. That stop is never crowded and had easy access to the CDG/VAL free tram that connects all terminals. There are several ticket machines at that stop where you can buy a ticket into Paris. I bought the weekly pass from the terminal 2 office and it includes unlimited travel on bus, metro and RER...about $35. Take a small photo with you for the fob they will give you. I was there in 2010, 11, 13, 17, 18 & 19.

@@zvezdas372 There are four or five zones for the metro. I think the CDG is zone 5 and is going to cost you more than a regular ticket to get into the city. Zone 4 to Zone 1. There are plenty of attendants there to assist in your purchase of a ticket.
