When Taki writes his “name” in Mitsuha's hand, he doesn't actually write his name-he writes “I love you.” Love is hard work and requires two people to invest in one another.

my favorite part about anime in general is not the amazing fight scenes or crazy animations, its just how beautifully they animate just normal life. a car driving next to the bay, people walking in the city. what people would see as mundane, unimpressive, boring, i love it. theres just something special, melancholic, beautiful in those types of scenes.

I watched this masterpiece last week and I couldn't get over it, I normally watch a movie every few days, but after watching this I didn't feel like watching anything else. And after looking everything about this movie on youtubing, I found myself here. I got chills when I saw this again
I usually don’t cry watching movies but this movie is a huge exception. Really great writing and the rollercoaster of emotions, my eyes were watery for most parts of the movie. I think a lot of us felt the same way they did atleast once in their life. The feeling of loneliness is very relatable and that makes this movie special too. And the visuals are so clean. Honestly one of the best i have ever seen. This movie is one of my tops.

Watched this movie on recommendation from my brother. He told me i would cry but i was fairly skeptical until this song played. As soon as the piano started I bawled my eyes out and i had no idea why until i lostened to the OST. The soundscape design for this film is rich with emotion enough without the movie. I watched this on a whim because of the ratings it got, I thought it was an over exaggeration, but after finishing it, I couldn't get the movie off my mind. I just got home from the movies after watching Suzume which is amazing btw, but I decided to watch more of the directors work and this is what popped up as number one. My life has been flipped upside down back to back in a matter of 5 hours. Eat your hearts out but Disney or any other Studio out there doesn’t make you feel this real. This man knows human emotion and how to mold, bend and twist it.

One of my friends wanted me to wach Suzume with him last week. I haven’t watched any anime before in my life and I honestly just joined him because I didn’t want to feel bad. But, after I got out of the cinema, I felt like my mind swapped in a way and I had a big smile on my face. I have never felt like this after watching a movie before. I watched this movie for the first time completely unaware of what it is about, like 100%. My younger sister had recommended it to me as I was just getting into anime and I was DESTROYED by the end, this was during a period of my life where I was struggling with loneliness and depression but this movie (and other shinkai films) turned that time bitter-sweet for me.
