Honest I dont know if there are 10 or 15 frags that CAN make that list... thats gonna be a tough one to do but I will think on it and see if if I even have 10 or 15 fragrances where I would consider the modern formula not botched 😊
You were right about the playback speed! Solar sparkle a great way to describe how (white) ambergris can smell sometimes. Apparently there's ambergris in my sotd Montabaco Intensivo from OJ? I don't get it, but it's a pretty solid fragrance. Ditto with Royal Water. Unfortunately, Azzaro's Visit never worked on my skin.

Pure gold Rams ,great reference point fragrances to highlight a beautiful note. Loved the Oak moss master class also .Just can’t go wrong when it comes to a trained nose and a analyzing mind great ,great, duo in a row .You speak ,I listen, I up my knowledge and understanding of scent , simple as that .much respect ✊

My assumption is that the ambergris as a natural smell of a sperm whale has it's chemical substitut named ambroxan.
I hate ambroxan.
But ambergris, especially in Creed fragrances is sublime.

I know not everyone likes ambergris, but I enjoy it. It's like the secret savoury ingredient in so many fragrances. It makes me laugh when people try to get a reaction by calling it aged whale vomit. They don't seem to try to get the same reaction by calling honey aged bee vomit. 😆Anyway, I do like ambergris and I have Spell 125 and just ordered Tobacco Rose. I would like to get my nose on Encens Mythic, the older Dune, and the Amouage. The Fiona sounds a little more than I could tolerate for an animalic fragrance, but it was cool to hear you talk about it. I Enjoyed this video! - Jenn

I remember a lot of ambergris in Creed’s Tabarome now vaulted, not the Millessime current version. That was a super deep tobacco, ambergris gem that hung in your nostrils for an hour after a sniff.
Ohhhhh that is on the top of my unicorn to sniff list... I would love a bottle of that but honestly even a 5 or 10 ml decant would be amazing! One day I will smell that fragrance 🤌🤌🤌🤌

I’ve said it before but best perfume collection out there fr, ambergris is my favorite note. Or at least what I think is ambergris as I’ve never smelt the real McCoy

Man it s a shame what creed did, you nailed it (again): the ambergris note made creed fragrances extraordinary. It was one of my favorite houses because I associated always gentlemen fragrances with the brand, and high end ingredients. Also agree on real patchouli: the edp is badly blended vanilla heavy not good, but the edt is art :-) arpege is a beast...what is your opinion about amouage overture?
I love overture... I got my bottle as soon as it came out from Herods and it is a beast on so many levels.... complexity performance quality of the materials... never smelled the newer batches but the first round was an absolute home run... one of my favorite "boozy" frags of all time ... although there is so much more going on
Searching for a creed fragrance that I sampled in 2018. Sparkling citrus super uplifting
Fir or balsm woods florals powdery leather vanilla down dry like paper money Frankenscence and myrrh
Really tough as all creeds are sparkling citrus... could be vanisia or Acier Aluminum 🤷🏻♂️

You know whats funny is about 3 months ago I started getting attacked pretty heavily by a bloke who claimed I was a gatekeeper 😂😂😂
It became this huge back and forth and they bashed me on their channels and left all these nasty comments mocking me for telling people to buy the vintage bottle of Davidoff Zino etc etc... and then ultimately they ended up giving me an apology on Eugenes stream publicly... it was just surreal as I am the most open collector.. I gave people my sources both who wrote me personally and publicly of where I buy my frags from etc etc I dont hoard the info to keep it all for myself i share all that....so it was just the most crazy experience... i guess thats just what happens when you put your self on the internet 😂😂😂

Some of his inexpensive attars are well worth sampling.

Each bottle is 4oz. How much? 25.
I can't beleive how inexpensive you can find vintage Aramis for.
It's just silly, and, if permitied, I'll keep picking them if they are in that range.

29:45 haha 😄 Recently picked up a 2004 120ml bottle of Himalaya. I'm with you, I am never going to purchase another current production bottle ever again unless some drastic changes are made at creed. I recently bought a current production bottle of Erolfa and what an absolute mess. Smells like the bottle was half full and someone topped it off with water.

Quick question for the ram I’ve seen a bottle of Hugo boss no 1 dated 2015. I’m assuming it’s shite as it not vintage enough?
I dont think its Shite... just the oakmoss in the base will be completely removed

If you can find one that says Giorgio Beverly Hills on the bottom of the bottle and made in UK those bottles I can vouche for 😊
And if you want to take it a step further try and find a bottle that doesnt say Number One on the bottle... originally it was the only Boss Fragrance for men so there was no reason to put number one on the bottles 😊
@@RamseytheRam legend thanks so much - I think the hunt is a big part of vintage it’s like panning for. Gold that and the fragrances can be amazing. I think in 5 years with the ways it’s going a lot of good vintage is going to be impossible to find. The internet means it’s easier to find vintage than ever but also it’s harder than ever as we frag heads are in the know and good stuff gets snapped up wherever it is. The sellers know as well so put prices up - you’re not going to walk in to a remote baby boomer store and get a bottle of Charles of the ritz kouros for cheap as they know what they have now. We all dream of it but unlikely at least here in Australia. If that did ever happen I would have to get rich Mitch a bottle and sell it to him at cost, I couldn’t live with my self otherwise.
