The irony i was just watching the first episode from season 1
The creator of the boys, Garth Ennis, says superheroes ruined comics and "with superheroes, I find them completely moronic." And he depicting how he feels real humans would behave if they had the power, by abusing it. Basically he's tearing down people he doesn't like. He's a bully. And this show is just showing that bullies like him, sometimes win.

You forgot to mention how Homelander slipped compound V to radical groups all over the world and gave a bunch of terrorists superpowers so all the destruction and deaths they caused are also on his hands
Homelander acts like a good hero with good intentions of helping the weak however that's just a mask and in the reality he is a narcissist who only thinks and cares nothing about himself and doesn't care about harming innocents to achieve his goals. He is considered a man who is above everything and he can get anything just by taking it and also know that he is superior to normal human beings in certain aspects. However the biggest of him is the manipulation and lies of his maturity and experience. He considers himself as a God however he spent most of his entire life living under the orders of a man without superpowers. also as a child he lived locked between four walls while being cared by scientists it wasn't until his adulthood when Homelander realized his power. He does not know about the real world he doesn't know what it's like to earn the title of the strongest.
Because it was given to him and he was turn into kind of a Hollywood Celebrity that's how Vought kept him happy to take advantage of his public image and make a lot of money he was practically a product of a company and to some extent never had a voice of authority despite being the strongest man in the world he seem to have several internal problems that prevents him from seeing the world correctly sometimes he is a capricious and it can be clearly seen that he is very childish and easily a irritable person we must remember that he admitted of being intimidated by Stan Edgar for most of his entire life.

Ironically Homelander is the most powerful character in the Boys yet in most versus matchups I've seen him in he gets smoked.

Aside from his lack of intelligence, he really is stronger than everyone else there. I'm surprised you didn't mention when he made the deep get on his knees for A train, glad he put a stop to that before it happened but the deep was already on his knees in front of him so. I know the Boys Comic brutal, gruesome and gory but I need to read it. I'll read any M-rated comic these days. Watchmen, Punisher MAX, anything brutal and bloody.

And this is what is recognized as good today ? The fact that you people like this garbage says more about you, than it does about the garbage you watch
