He lost his mental game. Sad to him fade away so fast from baseball especially after going back to back cy young winner with the Giants.

It breaks my heart to see him like this. It's all in his head man.

I'm so sorry to agree with you! I absolutely love Tim Lincecum! ALWAYS will!
I think he could be a great reliever.

King Kasimir No. He got hip surgery and lost a shit ton of wieght and his velocity went to the shitter.

King Kasimir Sadly no. He has lost his elite gas and movement. Amazing career though.

I hope he gets his confidence and pitches back.

The interesting part about Timmy is he seems to have started taking conservative advice from pitching coaches … because his mechanics he came into the league with we’re all about him following through and using his whole body as a whip to gain all of his velocity . Still one of the greatest playoff pitchers of all time .. and will forever be known as one of the main reasons giants were able to win WS championships

This Is depressing seeing a former superstar and short titan of the league being off his game by this much

It was rough to watch him decline like this. But on the bright side, when you look at his career, it was a damn good career! He achieved more in his first 5 years in the majors, than most pitchers will achieve in their entire careers!

Why does the announcer call back to back pitches “missing low” when neither missed low at 25:40

You don't go from back to back Cy Young winner to out of the league that fast. I know he's had his injuries but he's still throwing it 90-92 on a good day which is on par with guys like Johnny Cueto and many other starting pitchers that are having success. Sorry to say but his decline was a bit of Bochy's fault when he stopped having Posey catch for him and opted to go with Hector Sanchez instead. There is a reason why Posey is a great catcher while not being a great hitter. What he does behind the plate gets way overlooked. His preparation and scouting. He knows what to throw, where to throw it and when to throw it. Its not like the Angels' pitching staff is dominant and that not only has to do with the arm, but the person behind the plate. A great catcher can make a good pitcher great and a decent pitcher good with knowing how to change speeds, location and eye level. Lincecum's curve still has a lot of snap to it and its almost a 12-6. Its a shame what his career has become. Would love the Giants to give him another chance next year just based on nostalgia and loyalty.

***** I think he just has to find a way to reinvent himself if he wants another stab as an MLB starter. He has to know he's not going to overpower anyone with a 95 mph fastball while throwing a nasty 84 mph changeup. A combo that struck many out. Its about a batter perception. If he can locate a 92 mph and throw a 80 mph changeup, thats enough to keep batters guessing.

Posey is literally the best hitting catcher in the league with noone even close to his level and he's called bad at hitting, lmao.

Shakester71 it was lincecums decision to have Sanchez catch for him. He felt more comfortable wit Sanchez behind the dish.

I dont know what happened but my God this is not the freak I saw from 2008 to 2014.I think its in his head like what happened to chick knoblauch. Went from being the best 2nd baseman in baseball to not being able to make a good on target throw to first.Truly sad.
