@@jpmcc1207 True, boring for the casuals, but boxing fans can't get enough of him. It's also not true that he doesn't have power. He doesn't have Wilder or Aj power etc., but he has a good KO ratio and can definitely stop people if he's forced to up the tempo. I think he's going to KO AJ.
All of Usyks opponents start out the same. 1st round confident. 2nd round throwing the power punches now. 3rd round back off a little on the power punches because they're getting picked off and countered. 4th round starting to go back into their shells. 5th round onwards, getting hit at will. Junior fas no mug he's a big hitter and Usyk is just fucking with him.

Fighting a skilled fighter like Usyk really helped Junior Fa's career. Junior Fa was only 23 in this fight but he is now a much better boxer and leaner now.
I hope so. He will need to be much much better just to keep up with Joseph Parker. I got some faith in him tho.

My opinion is Fa needs to get in shape! Don't get me wrong I'm a proud Tongan but that's our weakness is conditioning & stamina if he works on his fitness/explosiveness he'll improve even better! Keep pushing Toko! you got the size & speed.

Fa has the power and height and a strong chin. He just needs to get busy and try not to look lazy in the ring. All poly’s does that

@WS 95 he is a boxer not a fighter he should fight the Lionheart Leapai see if he can deter the big Queenslander..which I believe he won't and Alex will walk him down then drown him with pressure and power punches
junior will have to get much more agressive now he has signed with debella and is in the big time
Usyk is clinical, from the way he trains, to his routine in the corner and boxes. He will be the GOAT in cruiserweight, but not in heavy weight. Still my favourite boxer

I think Fa has improved since this fight, and he obviously couldn't figure Usyk out who has a difficult style to penetrate - even with the height and reach advantage. Also Fa isn't sitting down on his punches or committing to combination punching, which would be all he would need to do to at least get Usyk's attention. Fa also didn't look confident whereas Usyk looked focused and confident.
Would be interesting to see them fight in the early future, though they fight at different weights.
Eastern Europeans have many more competitions available for them to learn the game & develop at a younger age.
By the time they're in their early 20s they're the finished product.
And to add to that Fa was very young on this fight. 💁🏾♂️ i think fa would sleep him now.

It's all in the head with fighting Usyk plus junior isn't a pressure fighter so like Delboy and Witherspoon both of them didn't get hurt or floored by Usyk I reckon Usyk isn't as good as he is at cruiser
@@sutherlandsharks7376 Chisora was hurt several times in the Usyk fight, nearly got stopped at the end of round 7 ffs lmao, man was out on his feet and didn't know where he was, saved by the bell. Go and watch the last 2 rounds of Usyk vs Michael Hunter, Hunter was in a terrible state and should have been stopped by the ref from taking that amount of punishment, Hunter then went on to beat up several heavyweights including Bakole, Kuzmin and Povetkin (which he got robbed on the cards of a deserved win)

24:25 nice defense/head movement and counters. After a few rounds most of Usyk’s opponents start to reduce the number of punches they throw because they pay dearly when they miss or make a mistake.

hard Junior , but both These have both Improved heaps Since This Fight
Man, back then Usyk was much more explosive and aggressive(or maybe it's because of the 5 round format?), he also had much more of an attitude, just look at how pissed he is at FA when he tries to return fire, damn! I want this version of Usyk back.
I was just thinking the same thing when I watched this fight...
It’s about rhythm and adjusting to your man. Usyk does it and shows off his power when he figures his man out, watch Briedis, Huck, Gassiev , Hunter fights and he gets aggressive(also since it’s 5 rounds) Usyk is a rare slick moving volume puncher a rare style in modern boxing especially for heavyweight.
@@acetofresh1 yea but I just watched round 1 and yes he pressured junior fa but didn't land any combos or very hard punches lol Usyk is an overrated heavy but an elite cruiser. Junior isn't the most violent fighter around so good match making I guess lol
@@sutherlandsharks7376 Usyk isn’t even rated by casuals at heavy. He just hasn’t fought much , but dominated Chisora -- who was robbed against Whyte once , and robbed against Parker, is starting to age well.

Usyk my get unpleasant surprise fighting with somebody who knew how to trap one for a good KO punch. So far he does not look like someone with a heavyweight punch. He is still an olympian in-between professional boxers. He might get surprise like Gwozdik
