I also have back pain, severe, moderate to severe scoliosis and would Love to see some food and fitness videos also discussing reducing inflammation. Thank you❣️ glad u have your answers. Ps..if you ever tire of Ryan, I’d be happy to take him off your hands, just adore him! Love you lovin on the precious pups 😊❤😊❤
Fern, you will tackle this back pain & you certainly are on the right track. I would love to see more videos about your anti-inflammatory diet & exercise. Inflammation plagues all of us & any tips on controlling it is appreciated!! Loved all of Nancy's presents! Sweetest family ever. ~~God Bless
I've stopped here at 5:55: ROLFING (they realign our body's history since birth!) You are so endearing; Ryan is just super; Seth's my dude! God Bless; stay positive! Believe in Miracles; all the best Nancy!
Oh so sorry to hear your back news. Good to finally know what is the cause of the pain though. Yes, sadly all the yummy croissants, cakes and ice cream may need to be just a treat now and then. Difficult to resist when surrounded by delicious temptations. House is looking fab. Xx
Sorry to hear about your diagnosis Fern! Love the idea of the food and fitness vlogs, you take great care of yourself already and are a huge inspiration for staying fit and healthy! 💗
Your attitude will win through. You go girl !! Would love health and fitness videos . Have watched since your beginning so a huge thank you for all the joy you give us. Great family, beautiful surroundings and terrific style . 💕👍💕
I am so happy you have ANSREWS! Now moving forward, you know what you can do to have a better quality of life. You are so smart, beautiful and a wonderful mom. YOU GOT THIS! 🥰🥰
I have Scholiossis slight curve also , I have it all my life and during my monthlys always get sciatica pain, hormones can also be alot to do with pain , I know all about diet , I find walking fantastic and weights fern brillaint to strengthen the back . Hugs to you 🤗 all be ok x
I'm so sorry about your diagnosis, but it must be a relief to finally know what's causing your pain! I too have to be very careful about diet and exercise due to inflammation from an autoimmune disease. I see the effort as a blessing and curse - it's super annoying to always have to be conscious of it when others are not, but it does keep you looking and feeling great. It will pay off as you get older and can run circles around other people your age. I would love to hear updates on what you're doing and how it's working. I think there are more people than ever dealing with chronic pain and inflammation, but few understand how massively important lifestyle is to feeling better. You'd be doing a lot of good by sharing your experience. Thanks for always being so open about all parts of your life and good luck on your health journey! 🙂
Hi all! Fern, I totally get Nancy's fascination with the posable hand! I've had one for decades that used to hang near my sink to hold my towels. Many years have passed and the the hand now sits on my radiator holding a chunk of coral from another treasure hunt. Happy birthday Nancy! I love the tiny bits too! ❤️
Good evening, I want you to be pain free dear Fern. This September has been a very heavy one, for me - great loss and grief. You have such a positive attitude.I hope you have discovered the solution.Power walking will hopefully bring the relief necessary that you deserve.Good to see the puppies & your busy family. It is wonderful that we live in a Time where so much is available to learn how to overcome the physical problems we encounter in this complex Journey of life. Sending you Love ❤️ and prayer ❣️.PS.A series of healthy choices in diet & exercise will be a benefit to many my guess. This is a new chapter!
It's so awful to be in constant pain, I too have bad back pain, also my hips, I found yoga really helped but mine is a degenerative disc problem. I love your attitude, I always say to myself "nothing changes if nothing changes" and "if you do what you've always done you'll get what you've always got".... Our health is our wealth and you can't pour from an empty cup. It's time to make a change when our health starts to suffer. I'd love to see more of your healthy meal ideas and definitely some of your exercises. I do hope you can get a grip on the pain because you don't deserve to have pain every day. X
My aunt has the same thing but much worse, she is in her 80's now. I hope you feel better and learn more about your condition to help not only yourself but all your followers that you will also be helping. Thank you for taking the time to share all you and your families adventures, the good and the bad. So many people out there can relate to a lot of what you share. You and your family have a beautiful week.
So inspirational Fern! Enjoy just following along. Live in Longmeadow Massachusetts USA now where I grew up; but I live in Lyon France and stayed for 2 months in Antibe. Love your vedios and family. ❤
Glad to hear you received some answers to your back pain. I would love to see your food and exercise plans as I have joint inflammation from osteoarthritis.
Yes Fern a blog on healthy eating and power walking would be of great value to those who follow you. And you, your Mom and auntie are the best for gift giving! Nancy is so fortunate to experience the spirit of Christmas in September. Look forward to all your vlogs as I have vicarious travel thrills on the Côte d’Azur, yay!
While I don't really know you, I feel your pain with the back issues! I also feel so proud of your efforts to become healthy and switch out one activity for a more healthy one! Also I must say the final car ride with Ryan your makeup is so lovely! That peachy color is PERFECT! Your looking so healthy! Best wishes!
Hi Fern , I am so glad you got your answers , terrible pain but so glad you're turning it all into a positive with your power walking & health as you say you're going to smash it and I know you will ....must say I loved Nancy's black dress absolutely beautiful , take care Fern keep that power walking going , God Bless always 🇨🇦
You have such a beautiful exercise trail in Cannes & you are definitely doing the right thing by thinking outside the box & upping your game with your routines - think smart! Like many of us I have health problems & am really interested to learn any of your tips that you find on your journey to great health. You will do it - look at all the wonderful things you have achieved already. Can’t wait for little Nancy’s Birthday Vlog - she is such a lovely girl. I am now retired & think that maybe a little echo dot would be quite fun to have!! Yo can & do anything that you set your mind to you are a shining example & inspiration to us all - I really look forward to & enjoy your beautiful Vlogs with your lovely family 😊💖🌸✨
I can feel totally for you as to back pain. I have failed to respond to treatments and am now wearing large brace . In November I will be implanted with a device to stop pain signals from my spine to my brain. I had to cancel my upcoming trip to Italy and. France. I am praying this will help. Hope you can get help too. Life isn’t great with pain. Sending love. Would love your food tips. Also would like to compare exercise routines.
Glad you have found the reason for the pain ,now you can manage it. I have had spinal fusion was advised to keep on lean side as it best not to add stress weight to the spine . Lots of walking stretching healthy eating ,have good days and bad days but just keep moving Hope you are feeling better quickly
I also have horrible back pain, scoliosis and sciatica. Going through the windshield of a car in an accident when I was 17 years old made it so much worse. There are days if I had to run for my life I would basically be a dead woman. I am glad you know what's going on and can at least get some sort of pain management. I feel your pain, literally. Thank you for sharing.
Hi Fern! So glad you have an answer about your back. I too suffer from bad spinal and neck issues for years and find that stretching first thing in the morning and incorporating core exercises, planks etc. helps me get through the day almost pain free and lasts through the night. Also, keeping to a low sugar/carb (keto-like) diet along with intermittent fasting helps a lot! It would be great if you could share some of your stretching techniques on a future vlog! Take care of yourself, and wishing you the best! ❤ Happy birthday Nancy! 🎂
Ah sweetheart, really sorry about your panic attacks. The French healthcare system is excellent. Good for you for facing up to your problems and seeking an answer. You'll be fine!
Thank you for sharing your health journey. I changed my eating habits 2 years ago and it made such a difference in how I feel. I would love to see the healthy meals you make. I wish I could walk on the boardwalk with you! 🤗 Happy birthday to Nancy! 🥰🥳🤗
Hi Fern, Glad you were able to get an answer about your back. Sorry, you have to live with this. I would love to see vlogs on healthy eating and exercise. I'm always looking for inspiration in that area. Have you noticed any change with taking the Krill oil pills? All of Nancy's gifts look so cute, she will have an amazing birthday. I loved seeing all her baby pics on Instagram stories. 🥰
I’m so glad you found the source of your pain. I had chronic middle/upper back pain for a year and half always worse at night. It turned out to be my gallbladder(stones) radiating pain and once it was removed the pain went away immediately. Xo
Just the fact that your walking and breathing in the refreshing air should help you sleep better at night. I think journaling could help keep you on your path to pain relief, you will be able to know what daily routines help and what counters your relief. Also, have you looked into yoga positions that would aid and help encourage the spine to conform to what is necessary for a comfortable stature especially during your sleep? I am sure you are exploring all the positive things you can do now that you know the cause of the pain. Good Luck!
My son has Ankolosing Spondilitis, (autoimmune spinal arthritis ) which causes pain when resting, especially at night. He suffers from stiffness in the morning and when 'flare ups' are at their worst it affect his mobility , yet he never gives in .What brings him relief is keeping fit and eating a clean diet, like Ryan he is in great shape . He was diagnosed at 19, is in his 30's now, he inspires me and remains medication free. I have mild scoliosis too , lifting heavy things and standing or walking for long periods causes discinfirt . Thanks for candidly sharing your diagnosis , sending best wishes Fern. Love your channel! 💟
Gosh Fern so sorry to hear about this. I would definitely like a fitness, diet vlog. I've suffered with sacroilliac pain since my thirties and find if I put on weight it really aggravates it. Also since covid its got worse. I have to wear a support belt some days around my hips but it does help and I can get on with my gardening. I hope you find some sort of relief soon. Hugs, chronic pain is horrible xx
Get well Fern and gentle stretch with lots of veggies and fruits. Cheese is good. Turmeric is a good anti inflammatory. Also some ginger oil mixed with mustard oil is good for pain and swelling. Take care and love❤️😇
I'd love to hear about your diet and exercise plan. Inflammation and lack of movement cause problems for so many. We may not have scoliosis but can still benefit. Take care and happiest of birthday wishes to Nancy!
Hi dearest Fern, so nice to see you again!!! My husband told me, when my son's paediatrician heard he has a heart murmur, that no one, absolutely NO ONE, is perfect! I had my perfect little baby and suddenly something was wrong and I couldn't believe it! Luckily it was an innocent heart murmur, but the scare, I will never forget the scare! But then I understood what he said! You will be ok, you have strength and will and the witt to deal with this, to control it and to improve the quality of your life!!! Certainly I want you to share your ways of doing this, I think it will equally help you and many of your viewers!!! But make a plan, do not over do it, go gradually and I hope soon your pain will be kept at a minimum!!! I know a lot of people, friends and family, who have the same, and they live a life without processed foods, alcohol at a minimum, plenty of walks and sometimes even physiotherapy and they feel normal. Did you consider yoga? You might ask your physiotherapist if it is suitable for you. But most important, do not forget no one is perfect, and please, keep your spirits up!!! Be positive! Sending you lots and lots of love, darlings!!!!🥰💕
🥰 Thank you so much! Very true - perfection doesn’t exist! I’m so sorry to hear you went through those emotions 🥺 there is nothing more precious than our children! Strength, love & positivity guides us through the toughest challenges ❤️💫
Hi Fern, I too suffer from scoliosis and pain as a result. I try to have an anti inflammatory diet but can't always stick to it so would be very interested in joining you on that journey xx PS I have found cold water swimming to be very effective too for the pain... but thats a choice !!! Happy Birthday to Nancy Xxxxx
Hi Fern, I see someone else already mentioned gallstones, but I'm going to mention them again. While your scoliosis is a very probable cause for your back pain, you could be having gall bladder issues too, and the pain you experience is from that. I suffered back pain, mostly at night, from a bad gall bladder and could not convince the doctor to check, he was convinced it was something else. It didn't help that I was also experiencing odd pressure in my chest, with the feeling that it was hard to take a deep breath (I could breathe fine, just felt like I couldn't). After more than a year of sleepless nights full of pain (couldn't sit, stand or lay down comfortably for hours on end), I finally put my foot down with the doc and was scheduled for a scan which turned out to be nothing more complicated than an ultrasound scan of the abdomen. Sure enough, I had a huge gallstone - most people do experience back pain with gall bladder "attacks" even though the back is not the actual source of the pain, and spend time exploring back problems when the actual problem is elsewhere. Gall bladder surgery nowadays is quite simple as it's usually laproscopic - I personally felt reborn after my surgery. Inflamed gall bladders can sometimes affect the pancreas causing pancreatitis, also painful - my dad had that and thought he was having a heart attack. A really bad gall bladder attack can result in the gall bladder bursting, which becomes an emergency lfe threatening situation (and a friend had that which required several weeks in the hospital following a much larger surgery). My point: ask your doctor to check your gall bladder - it's a simple scan to rule out the gall bladder as a possible cause of back pain. Hope you feel better (and sleep better!) soon.
I have type one diabetes, which is a chronic illness, and other people sharing their experiences on social media and You Tube etc has been really critical to me feeling like I have a community, and options. So, share away, I say! You'll help so many people.
Good morning beautiful fern babe I hope you and your family are well and your cute dogs too it's so lovely to see you again thanks so much for sharing your wonderful vlog stay safe babes xxx
Yes please share... I'm recovering from a total hip replacement and I'm doing ok but I believe my non surgical hip is also at risk of Osteo arthritis. I initially lost 1 stone prior to op to redue the weight on my hips and joints and I want to maintain a healthy weight, not that I was grossly overweight but you know yourself when you don't feel at your best. So yes I am all for healthy eating tips and recipes...Nancy will love the Alexa.. she can upload pictures from her phone to it to too... Lovely vlog... take it easy.. don't be pushing yourself too much..Just nipping over to see Nicki@Positano who's sharing her story on how they came to have the house they are in and the renovations that have taken place. I'm living my dreams through all of you guys..... have fun...Happy Birthday Nancy xx
Wishing you all the best Fern and hope your fitness and diet focus helps you control the pain and symptoms. Have you asked your Dr about pilates? I started doing reformer pilates (on the machine) and have found it’s been so good for me. It’s helped with posture, toning and helping me feel leaner / even taller in a way x
Hope you get some back relief soon. And the weirdest thing….the wall paper in Nancys room looked so familiar….I recognized the houses from a large puzzle I’m doing of the cinque terra, Italy!
Hi Fern Having back problems is painful. Not too long ago I pulled a muscle and it hurts to sit and get up! Well that lasted for about a month. I can only imagine how you feel :-( Glad you finally know the problem. I would love to see food and fitness vlogs. Your recipes vlogs are ideas on weekends for me 😊. I heard going gluten free and processed food does help for inflammation. Take care of yourself ❤️
Hi Fern. Great video today. Would love videos on. Health and fitness. I also have health issues with sciatica. My biokeneticist told me I have scoliosis and it cold be caused by pregnancy and childbirth and hips being uneven. Also see a foot specialist. Wearing great shoes relieves the pain and pressure on the spine. Enjoy Nancy's birthday and wish her from me. Xx
I've got severe scoliosis, diagnosed when I was 11 or 12. The x-ray would shock you! Wore a brace for a few years. I can't walk very far and can't stand very long without getting pain. Because it is so bad, a lot of my organs are in the wrong place (been pushed aside) and it is causing more issues the older I get :( I hope you are able to manage it and eliminate the pain.
So sorry you're dealing with this Fern. I have severe back issues and it is not fun. Continue to take care and pamper yourself. By the way, I don't remember which vlog it was, but you had recommended a deodorant called WILD that was made in the U.K. I ordered one and I am absolutely in love with the scent! It is one of the best products I have ever purchased. Thank you so much for your recommendation! I always the love the products that you recommend. Take care...XOXO
Some suggestions regarding your back situation. Running and jogging is not the best thing however powerwalking is great for you and mostly for everyone. Also you can take a magnesium Epson salt bath before you go to bed. It will relax your muscles for it will draw out the lactic acid out of your muscles. It also relieves the pain at night and stiffness in the morning and sleep like a babyThere is also a magnesium oil you can rub on your back during the day when you haven’t got time before you go to bed or you haven’t got time or too tired. Running or doing too much bending Like the way you wrapped those presents bending your back forward like that adds strain to the back and strains the muscles.which can cause pain at night and tightness in the muscles.I think you pretty much have it regarding food, you are very good with that. take it for me I know what it’s about I have similar symptoms. Also laying on your back flat and if you need to raise your knees on the carpeted floor with your hands clasping your shoulders gently rock your body from right to left right it massages the spine and brings blood flow and relaxes; it is amazing. Also Do the snow angels spread wings with your arms while you’re on the floor do it 10 times. Try it out it help me right away; it removed the strain and pain. Have you tried massage therapy? Or acupuncture? It really moves the energy around and helps with inflammation and circulation and much more. Let us know on your Vlog how you’re doing with what you are trying. The gifts for your daughter are lovely I love the dresses and those T-shirts and outfits, some lucky girl.Your mom’s she really went all the way out as well.😊💕🌈🇨🇦
Thank you for all your suggestions, they’re very much appreciated! Just about to order the salts from Amazon! Looking forward to sharing the journey! 💫 Hope you’re having a great start to your week 💐💗
@@fernibops i’m having a great start to my week and you’re so welcome Fern. The salts will make such a difference you can do it nightly and during the day if needed you can apply the mag. Oil athletes use it; however, start with a small amount to se how your skin responds to it and go from there.😊☀️💕🌈🇨🇦
I have the same thing. Pain in the same area. Yes guide me through I want to know what to do too So good to know I m not the only one It’s a very common problem in women. Having babies etc.

Hugs, chronic pain is horrible xx
Looking forward to sharing the journey! 💫 Sending love ❤️
🌸Happy Birthday Nancy!!!💝🎂
Oh fern babe I didnt realise you had back problems I hope you will be ok sending my love xx
Thank you for sharing your journey! Very interesting! Something I will check also! So sorry you had to go through that 💗
Good luck with the new exercise plan - I hope it helps with your back.
I have type one diabetes, which is a chronic illness, and other people sharing their experiences on social media and You Tube etc has been really critical to me feeling like I have a community, and options. So, share away, I say! You'll help so many people.
❤️❤️❤️
Looking forward to sharing the journey! 💫 Wishing you a speedy recovery! Sending love ❤️
It's always mind over matter✨💛
Please let us know about your diet, sorry about your troubles and I am dealing with arthritis in my knees and shoulder..happy Birthday Nancy!
Would love you to share more food/fitness/exercise vlogs x
They will be coming soon 😊💞
Hi Fern
Having back problems is painful. Not too long ago I pulled a muscle and it hurts to sit and get up! Well that lasted for about a month. I can only imagine how you feel :-(
Glad you finally know the problem. I would love to see food and fitness vlogs. Your recipes vlogs are ideas on weekends for me 😊. I heard going gluten free and processed food does help for inflammation.
Take care of yourself ❤️
Thank you Sharon 💞💫
Oh yes fern babe thanks for reminding me it's my best friends birthday this month
Please share food and fitness tips!
I have improved my back pain by sit ups with the exercise ball and squats using exercise ball between the wall and my lower back. Reps 3 of 30 a day.
I like your hair. it looks amazing.
Thank you! 😊💐
Xx
That’s interesting as I had a difficult birth with Seth! Thank you for sharing your diagnosis & tips! ❤️
Would love to know your diet .. you are on .. for sure ..xx
I watched a lot of videos which showed severe curves and the complications they have 😣 thank you for sharing your journey. Sending love & strength ❤️
Thank you so much Neda 😊 So glad you love it too! 💐💞💫
